DESIGN OF LOW POWER CARRY SELECT ADDER USING MAC UNIT
o Designing a VLSI Circuit needs considering of the following
parameters: Area, Speed, Power dissipation, design time and
Testability.
o In digital adders, speed of addition is limited by the time required
to propagate a carry through the adder.
o The area and power reduction was achieved by using a Existing CSA
where in the original 16 bit CSA, 2 RCA`s were used, one for carry
input Cin=0 and Cin=1 but in the proposed architecture, Binary to
Excess 1 converter is used instead of the RCA with Cin=1 which reduces
the number of performance(Power Consumption) of the existing CSA in
MAC unit with that of the Customised CSA in MAC Unit using hardware
programming language (Verilog).
