- Frequently receive request to provide guidance or assume project leadership on troubled projects and establish a reputation for successfully alleviating risk exposure through evaluation and implementation of effective recovery strategies.

- Hold full accountability for safety, quality, technical, and commercial aspects of a variety of CBI engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects across numerous countries.

- Instituted and keenly supervised CBI quality assurance and control programs on all projects, which comprised of mobilization of appropriate quality team personnel and resources.

Active Project:

- $85M EPC project for installation of 44 tanks and 10 sphere for CBI Colombiana S.A. (Reficar Refinery), Cartagena, Colombia

- $8M ongoing repair and restoration to tankage (Tank 956) at Valero’s terminal storage facility in Aruba.

- $10M EPC project for supply of 11 field erected API 650 storage tanks and 14 tank alterations for the Staatsolie Refinery expansion project in Paramaribo, Suriname.

Completed Project:

- $5M miscellaneous tank repairs for seismic damage sustained at Honduras facility for Chevron-Texaco Puerto Cortez, Honduras

- $13M ongoing repair and restoration to tankage (Tanks 958 and 962) at Valero’s terminal storage facility in Aruba.

Site Director Project Manager - CB&I Americas Ltd., Panama 2011–2012

- Took ownership of a project that was abandoned by the original project team and effectively developed and implemented project recovery initiatives on $150M Petroterminal de Panama (PTP) Phase II expansion.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS:

- Significantly reduced schedule slippage and transformed high-risk exposure to a successful and profitable project by planning, evaluating, prioritizing, and implementing recovery plan, in collaboration with CBI’s executive management team for Central and South America.

- Piloted the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of bicoastal terminal expansions at PTP’s Chiriqui Grande and Puerto Armuellas facilities that led to additional terminal capacity of more than 5M barrels (BBLS) and implementation of new pump station at the Chiriqui Grande site.

Project Manager - CB&I Americas Ltd., The Woodlands, TX 2009–2011

KEY HIGHLIGHTS:

- Exemplified expertise in successfully managing and accomplishing the following projects:

- $12M EPC new construction project of four internal floating roof tanks with aluminum Geodomes for National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago.

- $6M EPC new construction of two internal floating roof tanks with aluminum Geodomes for EOG Resources Limited Trinidad and Tobago.

- $20M tank and sphere systems integration – EPC for Phoenix Park Gas Processors, Ltd., (PPGPL) Trinidad and Tobago.

- $1M engineering supervision for ethylene tank repairs by owner Quattor at Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Site Director Project Manager - CB&I Aruba N.V. CBI Americas Ltd 2005–2009

- Closely collaborated with clients for development and operation of health, safety, and environmental programs as well quality assurance programs for EPC projects in Aruba.

- Directed all resource planning and recruitment initiatives utilizing both local and specialty crafts employees from the CBI network and rendered project management guidance for numerous EPC projects.

- Maintained constant coordination with engineering activities among client, clients engineering representatives, and several CB&I engineering groups designated to various mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation aspects of the project.

- Created comprehensive budgetary and financial plans, schedules, and reports informing both CB&I executive management and the client leadership groups in Aruba and San Antonio.

- Took charge of project budgets and local finances covering estimation, change management, claim negotiations and resolution, as well as project finance covering budget, forecast, and projections.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS:

- Headed various steel plate structure projects of new construction and refurbishment responsibilities for Valero Aruba facility.

- Established long-term partnership for joint project development at the Aruba facility by building constructive relationships with Valero management.

- Pioneered CB&I Aruba N.V. business operations in July 2005; initiated local banking and business and operations office; and recruited staff for local offices.

- Successfully acquired multiyear partnership that greatly benefited both parties and yielded solid profits for CB&I.

- Provided expert management to clients concerning project scope development, estimation, schedule, manpower planning, overall safety program implementation, subcontracts, and all financial and general business operations for the St. Croix CB&I operation.

- Directed maintenance activities covering API 653 tank repairs, HOVENSA special projects, waste water processing plant support, and block turnaround execution.
