. Value Stream Transformation

- Created current and future state value stream maps to identify several

targeted areas for 6 Sigma Rapid Improvement Workshops (RIWs) that

would significantly lower the Lead time.

- Participated in a series of RIWs that led to reductions in inventory

and better workflow through the Value Streams enabling to meet TAKT

times

- By the end of the transformation, the Lead Time for the product family

was reduced by more than 35 percent (7 days) to just over 14 days.

. Non Value Added Work (NVA) Reduction in Constraint Cells

- Assessed current layout and measured material flow; Developed Spaghetti

Charts and Flow Process Charts

- Coordinated with operations, supply chain and future planning teams to

determine ideal state

- Optimized the sequence of operations and man machine ratios using Man

Machine Charts

- Utilized visual management, Kanban and 5S to reorganize the value

stream

- By the end of the project was able to bring about a savings of $130,000
