EDUCATION
Master of Science in Industrial Engineering (GPA 3.40) Expected May. 2013
University of Houston – Houston, TX
Related Courses: Reliability Engineering, Advanced Engineering Statistics, Statistical Quality
Control and Mgmt., Operation Research-Digital Simulation, CNC Machining
PROJECTS
MEMS electronics Reliability Research
• Generalize literature studies in MEMs reliability to accomplish a graduate-level paper
• Understand life distribution and properties of electronics reliability
• Model system reliability when MEMS are connected in series, parallel, or complex
configuration
• Assign proper data censoring when dealing with Accelerated Life Testing
• Design and use control chart for statistical quality control on the collected data
Butterfly Valve Design
• Revise old valve design for any missing dimensions and/or restrains
• Re-design possible solutions to fulfill required functions but with least components to
minimize assembly
• Heat and mechanics distribution modeling through FEM simulation in Solidworks.
• Life and reliability testing, model identification for the possible distribution
Airport Boarding Simulation
• Model the whole check-in process using computer language including possible variability
• Design related experiments and test the simulated results
• Data analysis comparing simulation and queue theory results
• Make decision and suggestion in further improvement for the process
WORK EXPERIENCES
University of Houston, Teaching Assistant – Houston, TX Jan. 2012 - Present
• Helping students through problems in Reliability, Quality Control, CAM, etc.
• Janitorial Bucket model re-design using CATIA and continue with prototyping for further
testing
Master Chemical Corporation, Quality Control Lab Intern – Mar.2010 – Sep.
Perrysburg, OH 2010
• Assists in formulating quality standards, policies, programs, plans, procedures, and
practices
• Performs routine statistical analysis as related to quality
• Analyzes production limitations and problems for continuous improvement opportunities
• Assists in the implementation of Quality Mgmt Systems and Techniques (QMST)
• Conducts routine audits and/or surveys to determine acceptability of quality controls
