Fleet Maintenance Manager

Successfully restructured the maintenance program to better utilized Kroger’s Atlanta Georgia, Distribution

Center fleet assets.

Operated an effective daily maintenance program that reduced fleet equipment out of service level by 3%.

The overall maintenance expenses were reduced by 6% of gross budget projections.

Established a formal training program for technicians in conjunction with equipment vendors, to improve skill

sets and certify technicians to perform warranty repairs onsite, and capture warranty revenue.

Fleet Maintenance Manager

Recognized the problems in the maintenance program, and implemented changes need to reduce costs and out

of service repair time. Also recognize that there were underutilize corporate owned assets. Developed and submitted a

financial plan and schedule to restore this equipment. This plan was approved by Kroger corporate office, implemented

and completed on time, and 3.5% under budget.

Westside Truck Repair Center / USF Holland Atlanta, Georgia 8/2003 - 1/2004

Fleet Maintenance Manager

Responsible for verifying the accurate diagnosis and repair of all tractors and trailers assigned to the USF Holland fleet

based out of the Atlanta Georgia terminal. I planed, scheduled, and assigned to the fleet maintenance staff, the repair and

preventive maintenance program of fleet equipment. The doc loading equipment as well as all other company owned

motorized assets were assigned to the fleet maintenance staff.

My Principal Responsibilities as a Professional Fleet Maintenance Manager

Analyze and organize critical fleet maintenance operational requirements to meet and exceed company

standards.

Analyze repair frequency and documentation to identify deficiencies and implement corrective action.

Provide necessary training and maintain updates for technicians both in terminal and scheduled off site

personnel.

Provide mechanical and technical expertise to determine an accurate Root Cause Analysis of part or service

failures.

Establish and maintain a cooperative interactive relationship between service repair, warranty department, and

vendors.

Maintain accurate and up to date Excel spread sheets, and submit performance and cost data for P&L reports.

Scheduled and delivered informative problem solving and progress update meetings, and suggest initial

corrective action toward problem resolution.

Perform Annual Fleet Maintenance Audits, which included an up to date inventory value to market analysis.

Perform Annual Maintenance Personnel Performance reviews.
