Project: Tablet PC (For leaders in s/w, h/w and gaming sector headquartered
in US)
> Evaluation of structural integrity of the Tablet PC under different
drop conditions like Corner drop, Face drop and few other
orientations from a height of 49 inches onto a Rigid floor and Hard
wood floor.
> Meshing of various components and the pre processing was carried out
using Hypermesh.
> Structural analysis was performed using LS-Dyna.
> Post-Processing of results was done using LS Pre-post.
> Drop tests for different upgraded design versions from V2 to V5 were
also carried out similarly.
Project: Air purifier (For a leading consumer goods company, headquartered
in US)
> An air purifier has been developed at axiom, which is used to purify
the air inside a room. The purifier has got an impeller which sucks
the dusty air in while rotating and send out the fresh air. The inner
part of the impeller has a filter cloth which traps the dust.
> A drop test from a height of 1.5m was done in order to check the
structural stability of the product.
> A knob press test was carried out to make sure that the knob does not
come in contact with the impeller or other inner components of the air
purifier when a person is operating the knob.
> Failures were observed during drop tests. Hence various design
modifications were suggested and also validated by subsequent drop
tests.
> Meshing of different components and deck preparation was done using
Hypermesh.
> Structural analysis carried out using LS-Dyna.
> Post processing of results was done using LS Pre-post.
Project: Wella display kit (For a leading consumer goods company,
headquartered in US)
> Wella display kit is an enclosure that contains hair color. The
enclosure has two halves which are connected by a series of snap fits.
The force required for the snap fit was analyzed at Axiom.
> A structural analysis was carried for determining the force required
for snapping and unsnapping the assembly.
> The snap fits were working fine but some stability issues were
observed. This was solved by providing locators to aid proper snapping
direction.
> Meshing and pre processing done using Hypermesh.
> Structural analysis carried out using LS Dyna.
> Post-processing of results was carried out using the LS Pre-post.
Project: Wine bottle analysis (For a leading spirits company headquartered
in Hamilton)
> Burst test on the wine bottle was carried out to understand the
failure of bottle when it is filled with fluid at high pressure.
> Top to bottom crush and side crush tests were done in order to check
the maximum force that the bottle can withstand when it is stacked one
upon the other.
> Drop test under two different orientations from a height of 1.2m were
carried out to check the structural stability of the bottle.
> Meshing and pre processing was done using Hypermesh.
> Structural analysis carried out using LS-Dyna.
> Post processing of results using LS Pre-post.
Project: Retail Ready Package (For a leading packaging company based in
Virginia)
> Various drop tests were carried out on the corrugated fiber board
packages to check the structural stability of the package when it is
dropped from a height of 1.5m.
> Tearing tests were done to determine the force required to tear the
package along the perforations that are provided for tearing, so that
the products can be kept for display in the same package.
> Top and side load tests were carried out in order to determine the
load that the package can carry when it is stacked one above the other
while transporting.
> Meshing and pre-processing were carried out using Hypermesh.
> Structural analysis carried out using LS-Dyna.
> Post processing of results was carried out using LS Pre-post.
Project: Structural stability of control panels (For a leading electrical
company based in Saudi)
> The structural integrity of the control panel was analyzed by carrying
out a number of drop tests and crushing simulations.
> The main objective was to make sure that all the components in the
assembly stayed intact when it is dropped from a height of 1.5m on to
a rigid wall.
> Crushing simulations were carried out to make sure that the outer
cover was strong enough to carry the stacking loads during
transportation from one place to another.
> Meshing and deck set up was carried out using Hypermesh, solved using
LS Dyna solver and post processing was done using LS Pre-post.
Project: Switch mechanism analysis (For a leading electrical company based
in Saudi)
> A switch actuation simulation was carried out to determine the force
that is required for actuating the switch (On/Off).
> Also the force between the moving contact and fixed contact were
determined by the same analysis.
> Meshing and deck set up was carried out using Hypermesh, solved using
LS Dyna solver and post processing was done using LS Pre-post.

> 3D hexahedral meshing of dampers, anti vibration pads and various
brake and engine components.
> 2D midsurface meshing of door components, dash board components, front
and rear body components, many other BIW components for major
