existing Florida and the new benefit dual benefit requirements of KY
State sends us the eligible Medicaid files to the Humana in the 834 format
besides Federal Govt which sends us the Medicare files (from CMS systems)
to the Humana for enrollment. Humana will enroll for the plan that are
eligible called dual benefits and send us the output file in 834 formats or
the status to the external vendors ILS and Beacon.
ILS take care of the Long term healthcare including the nursing. The Beacon
takes care of the Behavioral healthcare.
It also handles the claims like when the state sends the historical data to
humana and it process saves in the ODS,CCP,EDW Data warehouse and other
downstream systems then consequently will sends it to the 837 format or
the status to the external vendors ILS and Beacon.
