Launched an abstracting and mortgage closing service company providing
research for finance companies, banks, and attorneys for individuals
seeking mortgages, and then closing the deal by either traveling to the
borrower or providing the closing in house.
Startup & Growth Strategy. Took the business from start-up to full-scale
operation after the sale of McKeen Abstracting, Inc. Integrated Florida
search capabilities through internet and expanded the company from
providing service in three counties to covering 60 counties. Developed
strategies for 24 hour turnaround and overnight mortgage delivery and
recordation for courthouses to support rapid growth and develop a niche in
the title search industry.
Diversified into the Oil & Gas Industry and integrated surface title
research expertise into mineral title as a Petroleum Landman. Provide
contract services to Brokers throughout the United States. Work locations
included North Dakota, Colorado, Wyoming, and Texas since 2008. Taking
advantage of technological growth in drilling for oil and gas.
Productivity Improvement. Networked with clients from Pennsylvania, and
researched the internet to increase a client base of 12 to 27 finance
companies, banks, and attorneys throughout the United States. Increased the
base search count from 12 per day to an average of 32 searches per day,
equivalent to a monetary increase of 37% per day.
Managed numerous employees over a 14 year period implementing standardized
procedures/guidelines (e.g., standardized research techniques, methodology
of mortgage disbursement and closings, and computer education) for rapid
growth and maximum profitability. Performed full title, current owner
searches, one, two and three owner searches, foreclosure research, judgment
