University. The project required extensive research in areas of molecular biology and
immunology and was inspired by other work on Giardia vaccinations in humans.
• "Does Heritability Play a Role in Common Male Loon Yodel Development?" This project
encompassed independent research with Dr. John Mager of the Ohio Northern University
Department of Biological and Allied Health Sciences. Research focused on the data collected
from thirty father-son pairs of male loons and attempted to find a correlation between genetics
and measurable yodel acoustic characteristics. Referenced works include those by Drs. John
Mager and Charles Walcott, professor of Neurobiology and Behavior at Cornell University.
