GRADUATE PROJECTS
Machine Dynamics:
• Designed a Vibrating Table as per given Specifications:
- Objective was to design a VIBRATING TABLE to test mechanical resilience of the equipment with
the specifications given.
- Studied the response of a damped system to an external load.
- Used CAD KEY to calculate the energy dissipated.
- Used 2D working model simulation to check amplitude of table designed.
- Used Pro E to design the model.
• Design of a Balanced Inline Five Cylinder Engine:
- The main objective of this project is to design a balanced crank shaft which gives optimum power
output.
- Have tried all the combinations of the firing orders to the get correct firing order .
- Prepared drawings and used 2D working model to do the simulations.
- Used Pro/E for 3D modeling.
UNDERGRADUATE PROJECTS
Defense Metallurgical Research Laboratory (DMRL), India 2010
• Microstructure and Mechanical Properties Characterization of Friction Stir Welded Aluminum
Alloy.
Description:
In this project we got the FSW of Aluminum Alloy 6082 using FSW machine and examined the
physical properties and micro structures of welded AA6082 The AA6082 pieces are welded using
different feeds and speeds
Methods used: Orthogonal array for experimentation, ANNOVA for plotting the results
Software Used : Iron cad
My role:
Designed tools for FSW using iron cad software and machined using lathe machine, Increased the
hardness of the tools using the heat treatment process.
Performed the experiments on FSW machine using different feed and speed and tested for the
mechanical properties using different experiments.
Hindustan Machine Tools (Praga Division), India 2008
• Part Programming On CNC Machining Center (VMC 500).
Description:
The project is basically a programming project on CNC machine. We have studied the C codes for
preparing the part program on VMC 500 with Sinumerik 810D system. We have undertaken the
manufacturing of Tool changing arm and Motor bracket mend for H60A machining center and Coupling
for thread rolling machine
