IT Turnaround - At request of CEO, brought in as consultant to take over and turn around IT organization
with web-based framework empowering hundreds of consumer facing websites with terabytes of machine
data. Primary technologies utilized: MS .Net framework (C#t, ASP.Net), C#, SQL Server, Revamped while
building IT organization, structure and operations. Grew team from 40 to 60. Filled organizational holes in
Project Office, Data Management, Software Development and QA organizations. Hired teams of DBAs,
Software Engineers and QA Engineers including Software Engineering Manager, a Data Management
Manager and a QA Manager. Built recruiting process and candidate flow producing world-class results.
Trained and promoted from within managers to Software Engineering Manager and IT Infrastructure
Manager positions. Established organizational reporting structure, communication and workflow. Established
command and control of business requirements and software maintenance reporting, prioritization and
workflow. Built from scratch outsourced relationship (India) and team including C# developers, front-end
developers and QA Analysts. Resurrected a failed and built an outsourced relationship (Belarus) and team
including C# developers and QA Analysts.
MYXER INC (2005 – 2012)

Mobile and Internet Technology Start-up – Led funding, strategy, business planning and all operations.
Brought tech team over from Citrix and grew mobile and web presence to 15M monthly unique visitors and
multi-million daily web and mobile transactions. Grew team to 45 with IT staff roughly half. Rode the
technological transition from self hosting through co-location to Rackspace to Amazon’s cloud services
managing relationships with vendors for CPUs, bandwidth, storage and mobile. Strategically planned scaling
with platform proprietary IP and platform vendors across user and transaction growth and cost savings to
scale platform. Built out B2B and B2C facing mobile and web traffic through tactical and viral web and
mobile marketing in display and search advertising as well as direct to business and direct to consumer email
and social media marketing. Led product management including roadmap, requirements, naming, pricing,
business case, feature prioritization, feature/resource/schedule trade-offs, design, user-interface, user
experience. Researched and developed sales strategy and created advertising product requirements and
collateral. Led sales; driving leads, pipeline, forecast, training, mentoring, motivating; hired sales VP
replacement. Builtd field sales team and established operations in NYC, LA and Chicago.
Hands-on and led sales operations; recruited and hired sales operations director. Raised seed capital through
friends and family (~$2M). Raised multiple institutional capital rounds (>$10M).
Led finance, accounting and reporting (tax, auditors, appraisals and government reporting). Negotiated and/or
reviewed all vendor and strategic alliance contracts. Led investor relationships including recruiting, funding
deck preparation and presentation. Led all company operations. Led company’s legal and corporate
governance including board minutes, board book materials creation and presentation.
CITRIX SYSTEMS INC (1989 – 2001)
Founding team member and employee #4. Instrumental leader in designing and building core technology and
team. Drove culture of excellence leading by example. Focus was software engineering but assumed just
about every IT individual and leadership team role at one point or another as company grew and role was
needed.

Built, grew and led 500 person, $50 million worldwide engineering organization across 8 worldwide sites
including US (Fort Lauderdale, Columbia MD, Salt Lake City UT, Redmond WA), England (High
Wycombe, Cambridge), Australia (Sydney) and Japan (Tokyo). Grew revenues from $300M to $500M.
Vice President Server Products (1996 – 2000)
Built, grew and led 200 person, Fort Lauderdale based product team responsible for Citrix flagship server
product. Built and led product management team. Grew server products revenues from $20M to $300M.
Director Software Engineering (1994-1996)
Built, grew and led 50 person, Fort Lauderdale based software engineering team responsible for Citrix
flagship server product. Built, grew and led the Software Engineering teams and the QA team. Oversaw
architecture and design and was an instrumental in personally developing Citrix server products and
technology.
