Work Experience

Chesapeake Midstream - Facility operator (July 2012 - present)

Responsible for day to day operations and maintenance of surface facilities to ensure that facilities are in proper working condition to promote safety and maximize production.

Responsible for the operation and maintenance of pipeline, compressors and related field operations

Start, stop and operate engines to maintain designated operating parameters.

Ensure the cost effective and efficient performance of all engines and associated equipment.

Install, repair, service and maintain valves, pipe, pipeline and appurtenances.

Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all facilities and equipment, including pipeline right-of-way, such as excavating, repairing, coating and backfilling pipelines, concrete work, painting, building erection, etc. Maintain, adjust, make minor repairs, and operate equipment (e.g., wheeled tractors, pick-up trucks, water pumps, air compressors, coolers).

Complete all applicable documentation and record keeping.

Participate in the development of O&M Procedures, Site Specific Procedures, project scopes and work plans. Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, regulatory, and Company tariff requirements. Conduct pipeline pigging activities.

Assist personnel in performing technical and non-technical tasks, including gas quality determinations, gas sampling, and measurement checks.

Provide oral and written communication of activities to appropriate personnel.

Williams company - operations technician I (April 2012 - July 2012)

Responsible for maintenance activities, and operation of high pressure gas systems, gas-plant operations, gas compression, liquid handling

or gas gathering. Responsible for troubleshooting and operating and maintaining equipment like: glycol dehydrators, cryogenic processing

equipment, amine treating equipment, fired heaters, turbines, pumps, engines,

compressors, gas processing pneumatic and electronic controls, and

distributive process control systems.

American Electric Power - Maintenance mechanic / Coal equipment operator (June 2007 - March 2012)

Responsible for mechanical maintenance of plant equipment and facilities. Utilize a working knowledge of hand tools and portable power tools and their correct usage in order to maintain plant equipment. Utilizing a working knowledge of basic measuring tools such as rules, scales, straight edges, dividers, squares and protractors, layout simple figures on flat surfaces. Calculate areas, volumes, weights, etc. utilizing basic mathematical concepts. Comprehend moderately complex written material such as procedures, instructions, technical manuals, etc. Interpret simple blueprints, diagrams, drawings, flow prints, etc. Perform any tasks for which qualified via prescribed training and/or qualification programs. Prepare and maintain records as required. This will include the accurate completion of job orders and writing new ones using the NPM system. Obtain clearance permits and determine that the equipment to be worked on has been properly cleared and tagged. Assist engineers and others with root cause determination of equipment/component failures. Adhere to all radiological control work practices within the assigned area of responsibility and contamination control program requirements. Identify and correct improper contamination practices as they occur. Perform all duties and work with other employees in a safe manner, in compliance with all appropriate Company safety policies and rules. Support and participate in Emergency Plan activities as assigned, in accordance with the procedures and policies applicable for the assigned role. Work with or in the vicinity of hazardous materials. Undertake other responsibilities as may be assigned by proper authority.

Also trained and worked as a coal equipment operator responsible for movement of all bulk materials on site using heavy equipment including bulldozers, pans, front end loaders, backhoes, barge unloaders, locomotives,and tugboats.

Started and managed a general contracting company that employed 7 to 10 workers performing residential work in around the city of wheeling, wv. I was responsible for estimates and management of company also took all the tests required for licensing in the state and city.

Joined U.S. Navy out of high school and after boot camp went to their power plant operation and maintenance school basic and advanced. Worked in the operation and maintenance of naval power and electrical plants aboard ships. Attended naval cryogenic school and was responsible for operation and maintenance of shipboard cryogenic plants on board aircraft carriers.
