Processed Schlumberger’s and all associated sub-companies property tax liabilities using fixed asset

ledgers for all assets located within the United States. I was solely responsible for processing all

assets for each company by each location by the appropriate deadline.

Researched and evaluated business incentives for a $10M power plant in south Texas. Based on two

potential sites given by the company, I assessed tax incentives for each county/city/school district

and came up with differing scenarios based on the local tax code and previous agreements.

Developed Replacement Cost New Less Depreciation (RCNLD) value from the fixed asset ledger for

Comcast Wireless in Wisconsin. Wrote state economic impact report that was also included in

appraisal. The information that I provided was used as a main exhibit in the litigation that followed.

Passed the Property Tax Consulting License Exam within the first six months of starting my position.

Texas County and District Retirement System. Austin, Texas 04/2008-04/2012

Provided key cost analysis to strategic decision makers of over 600 individual County and District’s

pension plans (approximately 15 billion in assets).

Singularly analyzed the pension estimator on the TCDRS’ home page to ensure accuracy of the resulting

benefits. The IT director said that this is the most used tool on the public side of their website.

Collaborated with programmers to develop six monthly reports that provide employers information

on their pension plan. I dictated everything from the data integrity to the formatting.

Originated timesaving ideas that revolutionized the way the organization processes specific reports,

saving the company thousands of dollars.

Worked directly with new employers and consulting actuaries to provide the estimated costs

associated with a specified plan.

Wrote VBA code that modernized the way new employers make their initial benefit selection. Created

an interactive tool that guided new employers through their initial plan selection.
