Lead Centre for launch vehicle development in INDIA. It pioneers in rocket research and launch vehicle projects
of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) under the Department of Space (DOS), Government of India.
VSSC is named after Dr. Vikram A Sarabhai, the founding father of Indian Space Programme.
Working Period : 1/2008 to 01/2009, 1 year.

Process development of new & advanced light-weight materials for using as structural/ thermal

Kinetic study of catalyst deactivation by coking: A detailed study of catalyst deactivation by coking on zeolites
catalyst and to elucidate a kinetic expression based on dimensional analysis taking into account factors like
catalyst properties and reactant properties.
Study and design of naphtha stabilizer column with thermo siphon reboiler : A study and a proposal to
reduce the energy crisis in the industries. It gives suggestions on the economic utilization of energy by minimizing
the energy being wasted and re-routing it for other purposes by making use of emerging efficient techniques in the
basic unit operations of chemical engineering. It includes the study and design of a new naphtha stabilization
column for a new feed for improved LPG recovery and replacement of heater reboiler with a thermo siphon
reboiler in the existing column.
Manufacture of Bio diesel: This project details a study to discover a cheaper method for the Preparation of Bio
diesel, which is one of the best and non hazardous fuels. It describes preparation of Biodiesel from sesame oil.
