where I can prevent rather than treat a disease through surveillance of cases and the promotion
of healthy behaviors.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
After the degree of MBBS from Liaquat Medical College Jamshoro in 1992, did my House
Job. Upon the completion of my house job, started the career as Zonal Supervisor in Polio
Campaign at Jamshoro, District Dadu. During my career, my urge for knowledge led me to do
Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration from Sindh University Jamshoro in 1996.
The more I learnt, the more I practiced, and then more thirst of knowledge grew, which
showed me the way towards Masters in Public Health from Baqai Medical in 2004. I started
my career with international NGOs and Agencies in 2008 with UNICEF Funded programme
for Immunization & Polio Eradication, which continued with my services in different
Districts. And then joined DEWS as Surveillance Officer in which I performed the following
key responsibilities:
Monitoring and collection of diseases data from health facilities on weekly basis
Data entry, data analysis, data interpretation and sharing with health partners
Preparation of weekly epi bulletin and sharing with health partners
Responding alerts and outbreaks
Imparting health education to the communities
Capacity building of health care providers
Supervision and monitoring of routine immunization activities in the districts and
