CAESAR’S ENTERTAINMENT, Las Vegas, Nevada • 2011- Current
Senior Area Manager: Oversee the management of construction projects for sixteen properties at ten locations, throughout the
Midwest. Responsibilities included initial project programming, budgeting, project scheduling, Capital submissions, change
order review, payment application review, and field direction, ensuring all projects were completed on time and within budget.
Hired and managed architects, engineers, and interior designers. Selected general contractors and served as Caesar’s on-site
representative throughout construction. Coordinated testing agencies, specialty consultants, signage packages, and FF&E
purchasing firms as well as the installation of the FF & E packages.
HARRAH’S ENTERTAINMENT, Las Vegas, Nevada • 2000-2009
Project Director: Spearheaded construction projects ranging from $1M to $500M, including initial project programming master
plan development, budgeting, project scheduling, change orders, payment applications, and field direction, ensuring all projects
were completed on time and within budget. Interfaced with client and corporate management to secure design approval and
ensure their portions of projects were purchased and scheduled for installation. Prepared Capital submissions. Hired and managed
architects, engineers, and interior designers. Selected general contractors and served as Harrah’s on-site representative throughout
construction. Coordinated testing agencies, specialty consultants, signage packages, and FF&E purchasing firms.
• Took over and successfully completed a troubled floating casino project on time and within budget. The project was $65M
over budget and 17 weeks behind schedule.
• Turned around hotel project that was $7M over budget, bringing in new contractors to complete project on time and within
budget.
• Completed 24 projects at 2 major properties totaling more than $200M with minimal disruption on time and within budget.
UNIVERSAL STUDIOS, Orlando, Florida • 1997-2000
Senior Construction Manager: Directed all aspects of field construction on extremely challenging site for City Walk project.
Managed 14-person staff, developed project schedule, provided field direction to shell contractor and 7 tenant finish contractors,
and liaised with all contractors throughout site. Ensured architect responded to RFI’s, approved submittals, and issued directives
in timely manner. Held daily site construction meetings with all affiliated contractors and subcontractors to effectively coordinate
all work, material deliveries, lay down areas with the hardscape, shell and tenant contractors.
• Completed $200M troubled City Walk project 7 days ahead of original schedule following termination of shell contractor
who had requested 3 extra months and $35M more to complete project.
