Receptionist: Responsible for greeting patients and agency visitors, directing all people to
the appropriate locations. Register patients according to agency protocols using Electronic
Medical Records and Electronic Health Records applications. Handle incoming calls and
respond to queries in a warm and professional manner. Coordinate new patient intake for
pulmonary and sleep disorder evaluations. Communicate with the physicians and the
medical support staff to insure proper scheduling for follow up visits, test and results.
Verify insurance eligibility and request referrals as needed for scheduled patients. Maintain
and update patient’s insurance and demographic information upon patient arrival. Respect
