**** ****** ****, ******, ** ***81 951-***-**** *********@*****.***
Profile Versatile experience in mechanics, sub-system engineering, research and development, testing and
integration, and a history in problem-solving, organized planning, and providing innovative solutions. Able
to develop preliminary concepts into practical finished products. Capable of quickly adapting to unfamiliar
platforms/software and quickly grasping and communicating new technical information. Self-motivated
engineer, capable of working individually or as part of a team.
Relevant GENERAL DYNAMICS LAND SYSTEMS INC. Sterling Heights, MI
Experience Systems Integration Engineer (Contracted through InfoTree Service) August 2012- March 2013
Acted as the primary interface between system design development and the prototype build shop
responsible for hardware integration, verification, and problem reporting/resolution.
Created and managed EBOMs with thousands of line items, prototype/mockup build plans, and
generated detailed shop work orders for mechanics to build, modify, and trial fit parts in vehicles.
Developed and reviewed C-MOD kit installation instructions and performed retrofits accordi ngly.
Contributed to projects including a rework of the hull, engine, and fuel tank of the M1A2 Abrams
Main Battle Tank, a new power-pack and chemical detector system to be implemented in the Stryker
vehicles, and many upgrades/mods to the Medical Evacuation, Mortar Carrier, and NBCRV vehicles.
RAYTHEON CO. – SENIOR CAPSTONE PROJECT Goleta, CA
Team Concept Generator, Analyzer, Machinist September 2011- June 2012
Collaborated with a team of engineering stude nts to design and produce a carrier for mounting square
semiconductor CZT wafers during fabrication processes at Raytheon to be used in infrared detectors.
Created a new carrier that will replace old method due to improvements in ergonomics, reduced wafer
breakage, and time efficiency, while conforming to challenging specifications and micron tolerances.
UCSB DEEPSPACE COSMOLOGY RESEARCH GROUP Goleta, CA
Research Assistant/Designer/ Manufacturer March 2010- June 2012
Designed, built and integrated a wide band feed horn cryogenic Dewar system and increased the ortho-
mode transducer bandwidth.
Worked in Astrophysics research to build a telescope mounting structure by implementing an azimuth
and a rotary friction drive to achieve a spherical 360O range of motion, in an effort to study the
polarization spectrum of the Cosmic Microwave Background of the universe at different frequencies.
Reworked and remodeled the design for a telescope frame support structure to increase i ts efficiency
and ergonomics.
SHUTTLE REMOTE MANIPULATOR SYSTEM DESIGN Goleta, CA
Design Team Manager September 2011- December 2011
Guided and instructed a mechanical engineering team of five to understand and tackle the design of the
mechanical Canada arm on the NASA space shuttle.
Performed analysis to find an ideal composite material and accounted for thermal distortion, tip
deflection from payloads, weight restrictions, maximum applied moments, launch vibration, and
geometrical constraints.
ADAMSON ANALYTICAL LABORATORIES INC. Corona, CA
Lab Assistant Summer 2008, 2009
Repaired broken equipment and created manuals for pumps, centrifuges, spectrophotometers,
calibration machines, and chromatography machines.
Optimized work flow by creating and organizing a working database for costs, deadlines, and
specifications for accepted jobs.
