Level 1 Mechanic-washout, changeover, make mechanical adjustments, as well as repair all aspects of production style lines, from changing circuit boards to replacing and rewiring AC and DC motors, for a bathroom product bottling company. A. End of the Line-package plastic pellets from an extruder, fabricate large octobins for packaging purposes, weigh product, and transport product via forklift to storage area, as well as hook railcars to silos in order to provide different types of propylene to various plastic extruders.

B. Masterbatch Mixer- combine various dry materials, pigmented pellets, and dyes in large mixer in order to create the base components for different types of plastics, clean and maintain equipment used to mix these base materials, catalogue these materials, as well as transport them via forklift to storage areas.

C. Mixer- mix masterbatch along with fiberglass, talc, propylene and other dry materials into small blenders and feeders which would in turn be mixed and heated for plastic extrusion. My duties also included cleaning and maintaining the various blenders and feeders.

D. Lab Technician-test plastic pellets’ various properties such as ash,(which detects the amount of talc a certain type of plastic might have), and melt flow, (the point at which certain plastics might melt), visually inspect the pellets for appearance, log and record data in accordance with QS 9000 guidelines, as well as approve various products for shipment. Other duties included cleaning, maintaining, and calibrating equipment.
