Dear
Principal:
It
is
with
great
pleasure
that
I
am
pursuing
a
teaching
position
at
your
school.
I
believe
that
my
instructional
abilities,
combined
with
my
strong
interpersonal
skills
and
work
ethic
would
greatly
benefit
your
educational
program
and
carry
out
your
vision.
I
believe
that
education
is
the
key
to
success
for
young
students.
As
a
teacher,
it
is
my
daily
and
overall
instructional
goal
to
motivate
students
in
determining
their
inner
strengths
and
abilities
and
discovering
what
truly
inspires
them.
I
aim
to
provide
a
learning
environment
that
encourages
students
and
fosters
confidence
in
order
for
students
to
realize
their
full
potential.
Through
my
teaching
experience
this
far,
I
have
learned
that
by
incorporating
students’
talents
and
interests
into
our
learning,
they
will
not
only
create
their
own
long
lasting
connection
to
the
content,
but
they
will
also
become
more
confident
in
their
abilities.
Being
devoted
to
this
mission
has
daily
confirmed
that
I
have
made
the
right
career
choice.
I
love
working
with
children
and
will
continue
to
be
an
example
of
excellence,
as
well
as
a
positive
influence
in
their
lives.
I
have
come
to
believe
how
vital
education
is
in
the
preparation
for
young
people
to
achieve
success
in
all
opportunities
set
before
them.
I
hope
to
instill
a
love
of
learning
and
a
desire
for
constant
knowledge
within
each
student.
Please
contact
me
at
your
convenience
to
set
up
a
meeting
so
that
we
may
discuss
in
greater
detail
how
my
qualifications
would
best
meet
the
needs
of
your
educational
program.
Thank
you
for
your
time
and
consideration.
Sincerely,
Rebecca

Ms.
Chase’s
Education
Philosophy
Upon
choosing
an
education
career,
I
had
to
realize
that
this
was
an
occupation
that
was
a
daily
sacrifice
of
my
own
self.
I
still
realize
this
every
day,
and
I
have
found
for
this
to
be
a
motivation
of
mine.
I
am
passionate
for
carrying
out
our
country’s
foundational
principles
of
justice
and
equality,
which
has
driven
me
to
make
a
personal
decision
to
accept
the
intrinsically
rewarding
challenge
of
teaching
every
child
that
lands
on
my
roster,
walks
through
my
classroom,
or
knocks
on
my
door.
The
reality
is
that
the
students
arrive
at
school,
walk
to
and
from
class,
and
sit
in
their
desks
all
for
an
education,
and
they
need
teachers.
I
want
to
be
someone
who
is
there
for
each
child’s
needs
and
to
serve
them
with
integral
excellence.
They
need
to
be
reminded
that
they
are
prime
candidates
to
change
the
world
for
the
better!
As
a
classroom
manager,
I
believe
it
is
important
and
necessary
to
be
both
strict
and
caring.
I
do
consider
myself
both
as
a
“warm
demander,”
and
it
has
become
my
goal
for
every
day
in
the
classroom.
In
my
experience,
I
have
found
that
it
is
beneficial
to
be
strict
because
the
students
know
they
are
safe
within
my
guidelines
–
they
know
where
they
cannot
go,
but
knowing
where
they
can
go,
is
defined
as
“more
freedom”
to
them.
I
believe
it
is
important
to
strictly,
yet
warmly,
set
the
classroom
procedures
and
rules
in
place
from
the
very
beginning
of
the
school
year
so
that
they
are
as
secure
as
possible
in
what
to
expect
in
the
classroom
and
from
me.
This
helps
create
fluidity
and
a
peace
for
all
class
times,
and
it
also
becomes
a
practiced
priority
until
it
turns
into
“muscle
memory.”
Equally,
in
order
for
students
to
recognize
their
teacher
as
an
approachable
authority,
I
see
it
as
important
for
those
same
students
to
see
a
caring,
personable,
and
human
teacher.
This
can
be
done
as
simply
as
putting
a
picture
of
myself
and
my
last
year’s
class
with
myself
on
my
desk
or
myself
on
vacation
(an
out
of
context
picture
to
generate
a
brief
conversation),
or
as
complex
as
incorporating
relevant
interests,
such
as
music
(writing
a
song
for
students
to
help
later
recall
steps
of
a
process
or
important
criteria),
into
the
content.
Especially
when
they
are
writing,
they
need
to
know
that
they
can
express
themselves
honestly.
As
teachers,
we
have
a
job
description
that
often
can
take
many
forms
–
instructor/teacher,
listener,
positive
encourager,
guide
and
corrector,
the
one
who
gives
a
smile
every
day,
the
one
who
confronts
me
about
my
strengths
and
struggles…
the
list
can
go
on.
This
is
something,
I
believe,
that
is
vital
to
be
regularly
understood;
I
may
never
take
the
place
of
a
parent,
but
I
know
that
I
am
there
to
stand
in
a
gaps
by
accepting
those
“job
description(s)”
when
needed.
I
believe
that
every
student
has
the
capacity,
ability,
and
capability
to
learn
and
achieve.
In
order
to
help
them
realize
what
they
are
capable
of
becoming,
students
need
academic
challenges
and
positive
influence.
This,
in
turn,
becomes
two
essential
necessities
–
self
worth/esteem
and
achievement.
The
reason
why
our
students
are
in
school
to
learn
and
become
successful
and
capable
students,
and
then
eventually
become
successful
and
capable
adults.
I
want
them
to
be
wowed
when
they
see
their
potential
in
action.
