WORK EXPERIEENCE:
Mars Systems 4/03 to present
Worked as consultant for software support and database entry for 2 major investment banking firms
in New York City. Installed and supported GRC software for Thomson Reuters for the SOX 404 compliance
project.
Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield 1/02-3/02
Worked for the Membership and Billing department. Designed and implemented membership rate change and renewal
letters utilizing native mode IMS. Empire's existing programs that produced these letters were generated from a sequential
back up of the entire database. Each letter, depending upon the group, could take anywhere from 2 through 4 hours to
produce. The new system could produce the letters in 5 through 15 minutes. My other duties consisted of converting legacy
COBOL2 programs and their associated job streams to COBOL3. The conversion involved over 100 programs and each
were system and regression tested.
Fidelity Magellan 4/98-11/01
Designed and implemented various enhancement to the purchasing and sales system. Major milestones accomplished were:
200% increase in on-line performance, 100% increase in batch performance, implementation of a B2B, DB2 database for
enterprise requirements.
Chase Auto Finance 1/97-4/98
Implemented a consumer credit bureau system to report and score consumer credit bureau reports. Systems installed were:
FAIR ISSACS, credit system and small business systems. The new systems were added to the existing ACAPS
Software.
Citibank 4/96-1/97
Designed and implemented market database. The system was completely Y2K compliant. Techniques used were ‘windowing foreign
input data for date conversion’. All programs attested using ‘hourglass’ to roll system dates for batch testing.
Chemical Bank 10/93-4/96
Participated in the implementation of the Advanced Consumer Lending System (ACLS) 3.5 release from the American
Management System (AMS) as a Senior Consultant. This assignment included the design, coding and implementation of a
Kransley portfolio conversion to the ACLS platform. Application modifications were also made to the Systematics loan
system requiring learning Systematic’s architecture. I installed the ALS software and assisted in the conversion from ACLS
to ALS. I graduated from the Systematics ALS course and received a satisfactory completion certificate.
Bankers Trust 06/90-10/93
As a Senior Consultant, participated in the design and implementation of a Defined Contribution And Processing System (DECAPS).
Assisted in the design and expansion of the existing batch portion as well as day-to-day problem resolution. Also added a Personal
and Residential Loan Processing Subsystem for one of DECAPS plans.
Bankers Trust 05/89-04/90
Involved in all phases of a large corporate trust system. Implemented major enhancements written in assembly language
interfacing with CICS Macro Level and in batch COBOL that increased functionality for the pay-in-kind securities that were
widely used to finance leveraged buyouts.
Integrated Resources 08/87-04/89
Designed and implemented a centralized marketing database. The on-line portion was written in
Millennium. All management and reports were written using Easytrieve Plus.
Drexel, Burnham & Lambert 09/79-07/87
Responsible for the installation of an Institutional Portfolio System (IPS) at two major clients sites, This was a comprehensive
database management and decision support system. Responsibilities included CICS design and table maintenance functions, system
programmer interface and client programmer training for system support.
Chase Manhattan Bank 11/82-12/84
Responsibilities included the design and development of the batch and on-line phases of the
PC/Brokerage System. The System was written in VAX/COBOL utilizing mailboxes for inter-program message routing.
Morgan Guarantee 09/79-11/82
Installed and modified Electronic Funds Transfer System Handled all CICS table additions and modifications, as well as
installed and tested all DSL and Fedwire interfaces. Programs were written in BAL, COBOL and PL/I utilizing CICS Macro
and Command Levels depending upon system functionality.

Provided all system and regression testing for the banking division. Systems affected were on-line
DDA, Savings and Funds Transfer.
Chase Manhattan Bank 11/75-10/78
As a Senior Programmer/Analyst Manager, was responsible for supporting the arm of credit card authorization, DDA, on-
line banking and ATMs. Responsibilities included performance and functional enhancements of the TP monitor
(Intercomm), as well as the development and technical support for applications utilizing (BAL/COBOL).
District Council 37 Health and Security Plan 11/73-10/75
As a Programmer/Analyst, was responsible for batch and on-line applications development using
Macro Level CICS/VSAM and BMS to design and implement an on-line database.
