Master Brand Cabinets is a manufacturer of Medium to high end kitchen

cabinets. I was responsible for the main assembly of the kitchen cabinets.

Responsible for improving the one piece flow of the assembly line. Key

Accomplishments:

. Improved the rework by 5% by improving in coming quality of

components.

. Set-up procedure for operators to chart their quality of

machined parts.

. Developed procedure for staple gun rebuilds to which decreased

line stops.

Production Manager, Merfin Systems, King, N.C. November 2010 - February

2012 Laid off: Company was purchased - Top Managers Laid off including

Plant Manager, can supply reference from Plant Manager

Merfin is a converter of tissue and towel products. Merfin Systems is a 3

shift 5 days a week operation. I was responsible for the daily operation

of the production floor. I was responsible for 4 supervisors, 31

operators, quality coordinator and scheduler. Responsible for dealing with

personnel issues relating to quality, safety and attendance. Key

Accomplishments:

. Decreased the overall converting waste by 6% a savings of

$60,000 a month.

. Made modifications to several products that allowed greater

flexibility and decreased the cost of the product.

. Worked closely with the scheduler to decrease inventory levels

and increase on-time and complete rate from 85% to 93% with a

3day lead time

Goodyear manufactures commercial truck and aircraft tires. My

responsibility was in the tire building department. I was responsible for

improving manufacturing processes, overseeing of capital projects and

reducing energy cost per tire. Key Accomplishments:

process that doubled tire production of a new tire and reduced

waste.

responsible for implementing several Lean Principles to improve the

assembly department productivity by decreasing unscheduled downtime and

finding root cause to quality issues. Managed the daily activities of the

manufacturing equipment. The main industries of concentration are the

pharmaceutical, labs and medical devices. Some of the customers

include Lab Corporation, Merck, Convatec, TriPath, and the North

Carolina Department of Agriculture.

My main responsibility was Project Management. This involved managing

the project from conception to installation. I met with customers to

understand exactly what specifications were involved for proper

operation of the equipment. Managed the Design Engineers to maintain

that the customer's specifications were being met in the conceptual

development phase. From the conceptual designs a quote proposal was

developed. Upon acceptance of the job, managed all aspects of the

project to ensure that budget and time constrains were met.

Smart Machines designs builds and installs custom manufacturing

equipment. The main companies that they do work for are Burlington

specifications for the equipment. Responsible for the designing,

quoting and presenting the proposal to the customer. Upon acceptance
