Experience
2010 – 2013 Hearthside Food Solutions
Throughout my time at hearthside I learned how to operate all the machinery I came into contact
with and how to maintain its basic maintenance needs. These include matrix and TP2 baggers, dumpers,
slurry application systems, several types of hi-lo, and the Creators popper. Much of my time was spent with
the Creators popper as well as Creators kettle popper. I understand how to maximize output while staying
within the machine’s capability. Once I have a strong understanding of how the machine operates I am able to
train any personnel required to use it properly and safely. As a Foreman I was responsible for anywhere from
3 to 20 people at a time. While under my supervision these employees did not have any serious injuries occur
that resulted in loss time or medical need beyond first aid. In 2012 the company sent 4 of us out of state to see
a new production line and learn how to operate it and once it arrived at our facility we trained our personnel
how to operate it efficiently. During this experience I worked directly with our customer and management to
ensure the success of the continuation of the product line.
While working for Hearthside I learned how to handle many diverse types of machinery in many
different situations. This job has taught me to be a strong and fair leader and to work with my employees to
accomplish each task as a team.
