PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Facilities Mechanical Engineer: (Air Freight Logistics) 2007-2012

• Technical Writer: Developed all facility/equipment PM tasking, scheduling and means time to ensure the life cycle of all components are maintained for maximum reliability and cost efficiency. Created repair parts stock inventory list and levels, ensuring continuous reliability of all facility and Sort equipment.

• Fire Sprinkler Repair License: Maintained a NC license to ensure all fire protection and alarm equipment inspections and tests are properly performed and documented to ensure personnel/facility safety compliance with all State and Local code requirements.

• Safety Coordinator: Issued and ensured compliance of all Hot Work and Confined Space Entry permits, maintained all records for annual inspections. Continuously evaluate workplace for safety concerns, ensure behavioral safety initiatives were performed to prevent occurrence of accidents, assurance of cost savings.

• Environmental Coordinator: Inspected all storage vessels and secondary containments/drainage, ensuring integrity/reliability. Maintained and issued monthly required reports to the CWWT facility during discharge of pumping process. Updated the Spill Prevention Control and Counter Measure (SPCC) records for the campus and retention ponds. Issued/recorded tracking of all facility EPA related projects to ensure compliance. Maintained records of emissions tracking during weekly exercising/testing and power outage run time of generators and accounted for annual inspections by NCDENR for all emergency generators.

• Facility Inspector: Inspected the facility monthly and documented all deviations, coordinate, prioritize and assign projects to the onsite maintenance. On large items, I defined and communicated scope of work to contractors, retrieved quotes with warrantees of materials and workmanship, submitted to FFM management for approval. Award contracts, coordinated all work with Security for escorting on site. Supervised, inspected and signed off on completed projects.

• Facility Warranty Management: Define all warranty issues, contact and describe all deviations with appropriate vendors for corrections of construction work while under warranty, ensuring corrective action and preventing additional cost. Set up Technical Library to maintain all: Warranty documentation, site drawing and equipment documentation for easy reference for repairs parts (facility and sort equipment) with equipment parts numbers (EPN) and location of all stocked parts locations in the parts store.

• Mechanical Engineering: Becoming acclimated with all building and sort equipment designs and specifications, it was my duty to perform final inspections of all mechanical installation during construction. Write up deviations and report to FedEx Properties Engineering and Design Department: Ensure all specifications were maintained. Work with primary contractor to correct deviations. View and verify all commissioning, proper performance and training of all facility and sort equipment. Collecting and filing all documentation for: Warranties, Maintenance, Operations and Training Manuals for continuous operations. Ensuring: time management, minimum down time and maximum productivity.
