Neurorecovery Inc. January 2005 to June 2006
** Director of Finance recruited to develop the corporate accounting and financial reporting functions for this start-up biopharmaceutical company in Memphis, TN. Collaborated with management and board members to review and complete due diligence, operational budgets and IPO/S1 registration. I managed banking relationships, cash flow and ADP payroll, and assumed additional management responsibilities for IT operations, administration and business planning. Company assets were acquired by Acorda Therapeutics in 2007/2008.

** Senior Finance Manager for one of the largest multinational German construction companies over the last century that included multinational operations in nine countries. Recruited by the MD to manage corporate income reporting, project budgeting and cost analysis. Collaborated with management and project managers to review and interpret financial data, make recommendations, and provide decision support to promote cost savings and improve operational controls. Development role included industry and market analysis, feasibility studies, presentations and networking with clients and government officials to support new business and market development throughout Southeast Asia.
• Redesigned chart of account and income reporting, budgeting and cost control systems for Thailand operations.
• Established uniform operating budgets, revenue forecasts and monthly cost-to-complete income projections on a project portfolio valued at USD500 million, which included twenty-eight concurrent projects in several countries.

** Financial Controller recruited to manage accounting and finance functions for the start-up joint venture that represented the management and development arm of the Carlson Hospitality Group in Southeast Asia. Scope of work was diverse and included contract negotiations, fund transfers and VAT tax statements. Project development work included feasibility and market analysis, business planning and other ad hoc financial modeling/sensitivity analysis. • Setup new accounting system, managed and trained staff according international/US GAAP standards.
• Created feasibility studies and business plans needed by clients to secure funding, which led to the development and completion of the 450-room Bangkok Radisson and the 150-room Mai Khao Beach Resort in Phuket, Thailand.
