schematics. Using oscilloscope and DVM meter. Manufacturing lead experience. Technical
project support for R&D and field service. Mechanical manufacturing maintenance support.
Computer and network knowledge.
SMA America 02-22-201*-*-** 2013
Engineering /Manufacturing test technician
My Work load includes repairing of D/C to A/C split phase 240 voltage inverters by
troubleshooting down to component level and then functionally test the inverters to insure
they feed voltage back to the utility grid. Run the inverter on an automated HI Pot tester
and complete data base input’s on all repairs. Next I will change traveler information if
needed and then move the inverters on a cart back to the assembly lines functional test or
the pack lines. During company startup I attend video conferences with the Line
supervisor the tech shop manager and the design engineer’s in Germany on biweekly
intervals to resolve manufacturing issues.
PARTICLE MEASURING SYSTEMS 04-06 to 9-28-09
Manufacturing test technician, Service technician
I was hired for test and calibration of micron particle counters in the manufacturing department.
This position also included support for programming, test and repair of circuit cards. I moved to
the service department a little after a year with this company. This position required customer
contact and field service support as needed.
BYERS PEAK (02-2002 to 04-2006)
Engineering support technician
After completing training classes on the Phoenix dialysis machine in Italy, my job was to collected
program performance and part failures data on the machines entering the US. After part upgrade
and program resolutions were completed I then traveled around to customers sites to complete
the machine upgrades.
I was happy to be asked to work with engineering design group from California to get the second
generation Venus (RF Generator) product line started. My jobs include identifying the build
process issues, make procedure correction, replace surface mounted parts during circuit card
design changes, identifying test program issues and repairing test fixtures. After building testing
and shipping the RFG-2 generator for several months myself I then trained employees on all
processes.
CONTRACT ENGINEERING SERVICES (02-2001 to 2-2002)
Lead manufacturing technician at medivance Louisville, CO
Lead for manufacturing floor. The company was transitioning from an engineering design group to
a manufacturing company when I was employed. Supporting the manufacturing floor employees
and build processes required interaction with all support groups.
GAMBRO RENAL PRODUCTS, Lakewood, CO 1987-2000
Finished Device Technician (1994-2000)
Final test and repair of the dialysis and blood separation machines. Support for field service
within the United Sates. Performed evaluations for engineering on part and procedures changes.
Tech support during the design of a new dialysis machine.
Electronic Technician (1992-1994)
Test and repair of in-house built circuit cards for the blood separation machine, dialysis machines
and RO water treatment machine. Worked with project design group during the design of CFS
(century fluid system). Completed evaluations for FDA release.
Manufacturing Technician (1990-1992)
Requested to train technicians and help support machines that I validated while working in R&D.
Attended classes on radio frequency welding machines, multivac packaging machines and gave
tech support for part manufacturing machines for hart lung, Blood components, and Cardial
vascular product lines.
R&D Technician (1987-1990)
Support for engineering on design of blood transducer. This project included testing of transducer
during design. Completing the final changes to the manufacturing machines before use in
manufacturing. The Floor layout of the build process and training of production personnel on the
build of the product.
