CAREER OBJECTIVE
I am currently seeking full time work that will allow me to expand my employment experience in Australia and
provide long term stability for me and my young family. Until the birth of our daughter in May 2010, I have been
studying International Relations with a Major in Mandarin at the University of Queensland, Brisbane. As I am
currently on a Partner Temporary Resident Visa, awaiting my acceptance as a Permanent Resident in Australia, I am
not able to complete my studies until 2015 at the earliest. Until then, I wish to achieve my ultimate potential in a
team environment, by utilising my organisation and customer service skills. I enjoy dealing with people and helping
them with both their concerns and requests; this is best demonstrated by the high level of maturity and integrity in
my work.
I have a very strong work ethic and adapt to change with ease as I am capable and motivated to do my best in any
situation. With my advanced computer and administration skills, I will be an asset to future employers.
EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
ST. OLAV’S HOSPITAL, TRONDHEIM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
AUG 2012 – MAR 2013
LOGISTICS & TRANSPORTATION OFFICER / PORTER
Building upon my experience gained at the P.A.H. Brisbane, I commenced work in
a multi-disciplinary pilot project merging the Logistic Department and Porterage
Services at St. Olav’s Regional University Hospital. As an Officer of these two
departments, my position demanded the ability and flexibility to work in-between
roles, tackling both logistical planning and transportation orders of Theatre Stock,
Departmental wares, as well as traditional Porterage Services pertaining to patient
care, emergency alerts, helicopter dispatch, and morgue duties. My time spent at St.
Olav’s has been very rewarding and I feel I have grown much in experience due to
the challenges overcome in the past 7 months. I feel I have been given a greater and
much deeper understanding of the structures and systems that govern hospital
operations in general that I hope to build on in my future.
PRINCESS ALEXANDRA HOSPITAL
JAN 2011 – AUG 2012
THEATRE SUPPORT OFFICER / CCL SUPPORT OFFICER / PORTER
Working for the P.A.H. has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my
working career. Being a part of a greater team of staff dedicated to caring for
patients has truly expanded my respect for the Health System as a whole, as well as
giving me a greater understanding of the operations of a hospital environment. My
position consisted of providing operational support within Operating Theatres
ranging from cleaning duties, patient handling and care, to porterage related tasks
outside of Theatres. I also worked for the Cardiac Catheter Laboratories for a period
of 10 months. It has proven to be a challenging but very rewarding career so far and
I look forward to expanding my experience within Queensland Health or Private
Health care within Australia in the future.
ACUG
JULY 2010 – JAN 2011
CONTRACTOR/LABOURER
ACUG is a company which contracts staff to different sites around Brisbane. The
duties involved include manual labour, heavy lifting (15 + tonnes per day) and
requires excellent physical strength. Being able to attend different sites at various
times on late notice is essential and as a result I am familiar with the requirement
for immediate attendance when requested. Due to the nature of the work and as a
result of the recent floods, the hours per week vary between none and 50+ and this
does not provide me with the long term stability I am seeking.
TRIUMPH INTERNATIONAL
JUNE 2010 – JULY 2010
WAREHOUSE STORES PERSON
Immediately following the birth of my daughter, I was fortunate to gain a temporary contract with Triumph International,
located in Brisbane. The position was available as a result of a significant backlog of labouring work at their warehouse
that needed to be completed as a matter of urgency in order to have their stores fully stocked. I was able to utilise my
strength when attending to stock movements and my organisational skills when dealing with incoming stock and despatch
systems.
PIZZA CAFÉ UNIVERSITY OF QUEENSLAND
JUL 2007 – DEC 2007
CUSTOMER SERVICE
When I first arrived in Australia to study at the University of Queensland I gained employment with the on campus Pizza
Café. The role required cash handling experience and a high level of hygiene practice as we were responsible for food
service. While an invaluable experience, I came to realise after my first semester that my heavy study load did not allow
me to continue with the employment.
FOKUS BANK ASA, TRONDHEIM, NORWAY
FEB 2006 – JUN 2007
MAINTENANCE OPERATOR/ TECHNICIAN
In my hometown of Trondheim Norway, I was employed with one of the largest banks in Scandinavia. My position
encompassed many facets of the organisation and this resulted in many of my various skills being utilised. Not only was I
responsible for general customer and staff service, I was involved with transportation and moving services, including
warehouse and branch logistics. Also, my strength and labouring skills were utilised during the rehabilitation and redesign
of many bank branches locally and throughout the state.

teaching English to Chinese Children. It was a very challenging position with approximately 800 students under my
supervision and it proved to be life changing. It enabled me to further develop my strong communication skills while
cultivating important teaching skills. This experience also gave me the opportunity to better understand and appreciate the
