Responsible for management of large maintenance facility with over 150 semi-tractor

trucks and trailers.

Function as supervisor for shop technicians and parts managers, duties including but

not limited to reviews and performance planning, mandatory training, security

measures, orientations, mentoring, resolution of complaints and grievances and if

applicable, any disciplinary actions.

Responsible for oversight of all vehicle accident reporting to ensure all required items of

information are provided and that all reports and logs are prepared. Responsible for

investigation of accidents and assure accident reports are prepared and distributed to proper

authorities.

Responsible for performing investigation for any maintenance problems that may be other than

fair wear and tear, and flagged any possible defects and warranty problems on vehicles.

Monthly duties include providing oversight to ensure that all maintenance schedules were

followed and maintenance was completed in a prescribed and timely manner. Established

quality control measures to ensure that uniform standards of operator vehicle maintenance

were met. Responsible for oversight of written repair orders reviewing them for claimable in-

house warranty, billable labor and parts and final closure of work orders when completed.

Responsible for maintaining and operating within allocated budgets for maintenance costs and

tire costs for all fleet equipment. Initiated action plan to senior staff for increases/decreases of

equipment authorizations to the Table of Distribution and Allowances. Constant oversight of

vehicle specifications to determine replacement, weighing monthly mileage costs versus

vehicle capabilities. Prepared input for annual operating plan and funded budget for

maintenance department.

Responsible for verification and accuracy of all monthly charges, including building
