WORK EXPERIENCE
MKS Instruments: Methuen, MA, September 2010 - present
MKS Instruments offers a diverse line of products for the semiconductor industry. My products of focus are downstream
pressure control valves, upstream pressure/flow valves & controllers, and NDIR analyzers for chamber clean endpoint detection.
Manufacturing Engineer:
Create, update, and maintain BOMs, routings, and manufacturing procedures.
Design and implementation of tooling, fixtures, and test stands using SolidWorks.
Troubleshoot production issues using root cause analysis techniques.
Generate, review and track engineering change orders.
Develop VSMs, spaghetti diagrams, floor layouts, and PQ analysis to improve efficiencies; immediate waste
reduction has taken place.
NPI Engineer for next generation high speed exhaust throttle valve.
Implementation of Visual Factory.
Perform Product and Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis.
Develop process standards and tracking/monitoring logistics, as well as implementing data collection points.
Generate weekly reports on quality and yield metrics; implement process and manufacturing improvements.
Ensure the completion of Corrective Action Reports and Failure Analysis Reports.
Provide production knowledge of capabilities and restraints on the production floor to cross-functional team.
Develop process flow maps from supplier, through production, and finally to shipping of finished product.
Implement Lean philosophies; provided 6S training to the operators which led to freeing up over 650ft on production
floor, consolidation of test fixtures, and visual signals to enhance performance.
Visited customers, on site, to gather information on future product specifications as to better prepare our facilities for
increased requirements. Specifically, reduced particle size and allowable organics present in SEMI processes.
Wrote Excel VB macro to poka yoke the process and reduce cycle time of retrieving documentation by 70%.
Lead KT analysis and 8D problem solving teams to solve manufacturing and testing problems.
Set up production issue reporting system via Mantis that enables the operators to voice production issues wit
visibility to the whole engineering team.
Provide support and response to TUV America for ISO compliance audits regarding production processes,
information tracking, and MRB processes.
