WORK EXPERIENCE:
TMK IPSCO Oct. 15,2012. to present:
Using Olmpus ultrasonic machine and G.E USM 35 manuel machine(shear
wave),T mic, dip guage, circlar feild yoke, Micrometer, venier caliper to
inspection P110,N80,80L, per Api 5C .,casing drilling pipes for cracks, laps,
inculsions, low wall tickness and defect of and kind that with will interfer with
the required specification.
JSw Feb,2012 – Oct,2012
• Using yoke to perform magnetic particle at Oceaneering on shipping stands
and pipe.
• Using Magnetic particle Testing method with Yoke and Coil Winding to check
welding on Forge Products and Casting, Pipes, BOP depending on the
shapes and sizes of the materials to be inspected .
• Inspecting pipe with JSW steel at Bay town. Using Ultrasonic Testing
Equipment to verify and indication on the welds (Share Wave) according to
API standards, Measurements, visual inspection, Penetrant testing, pressure
vessel with .
• Conducted Safety Site Observations, Audits, and Inspections.
• Inspection of incoming raw materials, machined parts, fabricated and
purchased parts, and assembled parts.
• Review Specifications & Quality Control documents, Visual inspection on all
structural steel.
• Cleaning & painting of all existing & new steel structures, Lead abatement
and environmental monitoring in compliance with all state & federal
regulations.
• Monitored all aspects of piping and structural steel fabrication at facility
including fit-up, welding, inspection, dimensional control, hydro-testing,
coating, load-out, etc.
Oct. 2009 to Feb, 2012
Welspun Tubular LLC – Little Rock, AR
Level II Inspector
• Perform Auto and Manual Ultrasonic inspections on piping. Perform
inspections with GE USM 35X and GE SNUP- LO/OFF-CW. . API, ASME
Codes.
• With USM 35X the machine is always calibrated by finding the beam index,
getting the right range, the material velocity, using the correct frequency
probe which is capable of having a good sensitivity and angle is well
determine exert – point for a good shear wave job. Coil ultrasonic testing.
• Radioscopy /intermediate ultrasonic testing/Digital X –ray.
• X-ray inspection and film processing in the dark room and looking at the
film’s density and the nature of weld Magnetic particles testing. Springing on
the magnetic particles on the beveling end for finding crack and lamination.
• Visual &Dimensional inspection of weld seam and body using micrometer to
measure the internal diameter of a material and also Verniar Caliper to
determine the external dimension of a material .Corrosion and Thickness
reading to check the variation from the original thickness.
• Applying Penetrant testing on welded pipe in the mills and customer site.
• Penetrant Testing on machined and fabricated parts in machine shop. (When
this penetrant is placed on a clean, dry surface, it will wet the surface
properly and then migrate by capillary action for a period of 5 to 30min;
depending on the depth of defect after which it is clean. Then a developer is
applied on to aid a reverse capillary action to bleed out and make the
indications easier to see before a decision is taken).
• Performed duties as required to maintain quality status to ASQ Standards
and AWS Welding Code.
• Performed close tolerance inspection of cut & fabricated items / visual
welding inspection of welded components.
• Performed surface roughness testing following shot-blast of fabricated items.
• Performed coating inspections including MIL magnetic thickness
measurement, profile and adhesion tests to Electro-Powder Coated
Products.
Oct. 2007 to Oct. 2008
Car-ber testing – Baytown, TX
Hydro-Test Technician
• Cold Cutting,Hydrostatic Isolations, Hydrostatic Weld Testing, Plain End
Testing (Check the Pressure of water and the seal of both end of the pipes
before testing is carry on).
• Performed inspections and analyze reports of web adhesive joints
assembled on pressure vessels of aluminum & Stainless Steel.
• Calibration of 10 channel automatic seam ultrasonic testing system, using
pipe section with artificial defects as per approved procedure.
• Calibration of Real Time Radiography testing system, (digital radiography),
using IQI and line pair as per approved procedure.
• Examination of full weld seam of submerged Arc welded pipes by automatic
seam ultrasonic machine and Real time radiographic testing machine as per
API 5L,2008,and customer specification.
• Interpretation and evaluation of Real time radiographic images as per API 5L
and customer specification.
• Interpretation and evaluation of indications in ultrasonic testing as per API 5L
and customer specification.
• Preparation and examination of results.
• Looking at id/od welds with fluoroscopic and intermediate ultrasonic
machines.
• Responsible for Piping fabrication, installation, Welding, NDT inspection
activities.
• Review of Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant examinations reports.
