IFE Catia design engineer for business jets . Work included

assignments creating 3D models and drawings in Catia V5 and

Autocad 2012. The work involved developing and designing custom

aircraft interior installation based on customers

regulatory and OEM requirements for production and retro fit

applications. Work required reviewing products and provide

feedback to senior managers and management. The liaison aspect

was to coordinate design requirements and review

applications for existing programs. Work also included working

with vendors for the In-Flight Entertainment systems

(IFE). This work also involved the avionics systems changes as

well. This involved revising models and designs based on

manufacturing and design requirements. As an IFE liaison, this

position required the ability to ensure that the design

can be certified and all the necessary data for test and

certification is produced. Also required was the ability to provide

input to the engineering processes and suggest modifications

regarding the design and development of aircraft cabins and

components. This work involved redesigning side ledges, galleys, and

everything aft of the flight deck. I also T.I.s'

Boeing Philadelphia,

Pa 09/2008 to 09/2011

Catia designer for the V22 Osprey group. I performed work in the

wiring installation, payloads and structures group using V5 and the

harness Assembly workbench. I developed, maintained and released

electrical/mechanical drawings, Bills Of Material, Documentation data

by applying company, industry and government standards. I created,

developed and maintained

systems designs by preparing layouts, modified existing designs

and assisted in identifying design discrepancies. I designed and

maintained assembly and installation designs for power panels,

equipment racks, lighting and antennas. I worked on

mechanisms and subsystems fuel and hydraulic routings. I wrote

and responded to Engineering Change Orders and shop calls

as a shop liaison. Work also included converting Catia V4 to V5

models.

Boeing

Everett Washington 01/2007 to 09/2008

Payload systems design engineer for the 777 freighter. I Created

all new models and drawings for the freighter. All work was performed

on the lower deck. I worked with ball mats, power drive units and

roller trays for the cargo containers. All work was performed on Catia

V5, Enovia, Epic, and PDM. I worked with the structures group and shop

liaisons. Created wire harnesses for the cargo handling system using

E3D. Also performed work on Chinook helicopter program.with electrical

and equipment groups. I also used IMAN, VISmockup, Bogart and

Teamcenter creating wiring and harness installations, Catia V5 for

creating sheet metal brackets for wiring hardpoints.

Freightliner

Portland Oregon 01/2006 to 01/2007

I performed work on heavy truck using Catia and E3D for

electrical harnesses. I Created redlines and engineering change

orders, working on engine and transmission packaging and installation

drawings. I was shop liaison for the sterling and M2 truck line. I

also worked on sheet metal and flat patterns for the cab and chassis

group with interiors structures group using Catia and Smaragd and Team

Center. I also work on sheet metal with the drive train group for

under hood packaging. I also created fuel and brake line routings for

the 2007 emissions group. I developed and designed battery boxes for

the Sterling and

M2 truck group. I was the group lead for Custom Work Orders. This

required working with vendors and customers for new

product development. This required me to be shop liaison at the

production level in the plant. This required IMS knowledge,

product development processes and working knowledge of chassis and

power train and effective team management. I was

also involved in design reviews with the mechatronics group. Work also

included steering systems working with vendors and TRW for steering

box assemblies. This work involved working with the chassis group.

Dassault Falcon Jet Little Rock

Arkansas 01/2005 to 01/2006

Catia design engineer creating 2D and 3D drawings for the

interiors group. I worked as shop liaison for business jets, creating

new drawings and updated old ones for installs and installations.

Created electrical routines for aft and forward lavs and galleys. I

also worked on seating arrangements, side ledges, everything aft of

the flight deck. Created 3D drawings from sketches into working 3D

models utilizing VPM to create crew and equipment and flight test

installations. I created and installed crew closets and vanities and

galleys.

Oshkosh Truck Oshkosh

Wisconsin 06/2000 to 12/2004

Catia design engineer for military work. I was the focal for

Advanced Product Quality Planning. This position required a formal and

structured method of defining and implementing steps to produce a

product that satisfies the customer. PPAP is a part approval process

within APQP. I performed work on the heavy expanded military tactical

truck.I also worked on the new hybrid vehicle.I created change

notices and engineering changes.I resolved fit and finish issues and

packaging studies, and created new designs, details and layouts.

Member of the conceptual team for the future tactical truck in the

chassis group working on engine and transmission packaging. I created

sheet metal parts and body structures using flat patterns and bend

part using catia V4 V5and VPM. Created wire harnesses and cable

routings. I was the focal for Quality Control Planning. This required

Process Capability Studies, Material Certifications, Material Review

Boards, and Quick Resolutions of new Problems Due to Documented

Product History. I was the group lead for the cab group creating seats

and seating arrangements. This also included safety equipment,

defensive positioning, biological warfare utilizing Military Specs.

Roush Industries Livonia, Mich 08/20/97 to

05/2000

Performed interior and chassis work. Worked on the jeep truck

program. Resolved fit and finish issues and swing and packaging

studies. Created 3D models for the HVAC group. Received scan data from

the studios to create class "A" interiors. Worked on seating fixtures

and frames for crash test using information from the highway safety

deparment I also worked on under the hood sheet metal and with SCORE

to reduce production and inventory cost.

S & K restoration Tucson,

Arizona 1988 to 1994

Restored older Volkswagens and muscle cars for Japanese buyers.

I also ran our West Coast Metric distributorship and all shop and

financial matters. Our vehicles won best of show, paint and best

interiors, including calendar shoots. We also fabricated many parts as

these were no longer available
