1) HEWLETT-PACKARD – Houston, TX (2010 – Present)

Hewlett Packard is one of the world's largest information technology companies and operates in nearly every country. HP employs more than 300k professionals around the world and presents consistent annual revenue of over $100 bi.

Strategic Development Manager (2010 – Present)

• Directed a high value parts program, redefining the procurement and supply chain for key commodities such as hard drives, memories, and processors. The projects under this program focus on the elimination of shortages, high inventories, streamlining processes, and improving relationship with suppliers. Total spending in these categories exceeds $10 bi.

• Responsible for the supply chain strategic plan for the Industry Standard Server business (ISS). The new strategic plan originated an operational plan with over 100 different projects to be implemented over the next 3 years.

• Coordinated contingency plans during industry shortage of hard drives ensuring continuity of supply for over 3 million units, adjusting supply, steering demand, and negotiating alternatives with top customers.

• Delivered the strategy behind the new Quality Management System throughout the company, including collection, analyses, reporting, and corrective action processes.

• Developed a broad Supply Chain curriculum to train the workforce, improving performance, cross-functional collaboration, and retention of headcount. First round of training reached over 20% of ISS Supply Chain employees.

• Head of Collaborative Forecast initiative working close to key suppliers, Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs), and Contract Manufacturers.

2) NESTLE WATERS NORTH AMERICA INC - Greenwich, CT (2006 – 2010)

Nestlé Waters North America is a $4 billion business. It is the nation's largest bottled water company counting on 8,000 employees and 27 factories in US and Canada.

Capital Controller (2008 – 2010)

• Senior Manager recognized in 2009 as one of the 30 most promising professionals within the Nestlé financial community in the US and Canada (~8,000 people).

• Reorganized the capital department including new methods and tools for planning, forecast, and control of the capital expenditures of the company (~$300 Mil/year).

• Led the most important growth and savings initiatives in Supply Chain (e.g. profitability of brands, micro-factory strategy, new inventory policy, new lines/factories, buy versus lease analyses, divestitures). These analyses had a direct impact on the performance of the company, resulting in the construction of 3 new factories and other significant changes in the organization.

• Reinvigorated the product portfolio of the company and generated over $100 Mil in savings by introducing new products and technologies working with the Innovation Team. The main projects included PET recycling, bottle lightweight, aseptic products, and packaging redesign.

• Redefined the methodology and tools utilized for planning exercises achieving better accuracy and efficiency in the areas such as Depreciation, Capital, COGS, and Fixed Overhead.

• Led an international internal consulting team to define growth strategies for the company for the next 5 years.

Supply Chain Project Manager (2006 – 2007)

• Conducted capital project analyses working with Marketing, Engineering, Production, and Logistics, justifying major investments (e.g. new factories, distribution centers) in a total of $200 Mil/year.

• Developed a new tool to evaluate the total cost of inventory and estimate savings of warehouse expansion projects.

• Worked close to the CFO on the budget process and on several ad-hoc analyses (e.g. product costing, fixed overhead calculations, productivity indicators, variance analyses, operational excellence).

• Participated in productivity studies and improvement proposal associated with the West Coast Region. As a result, determined the reasons for low margins in the west coast and helped in the formulation of a strategy to improve the region.

3) HOLCIM (US) INC – Dundee, MI (2002 – 2006)

Holcim is one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of cement and mineral components in the world. It controls 20 factories and more than 70 distribution centers in the US and Canada.

Logistics Analyst

• Worked in the Supply Chain area focusing short-term production plan developing a new approach for inbound and outbound materials in 20 plants in US and Canada. Savings were estimated in $10 Mil/ year due to optimization of raw material inventories.

• Prepared and conducted monthly S&OP meetings analyzing cross-market support, minimum inventory, feasibility of demand, production capacity and planning, and others outstanding issues.

• Responsible for several supply analyses (purchases/imports/exchange agreements) resulting in $14.5 Mil of positive EBITDA.

• Instrumental in the Logistics budget and planning process ($100 Mil/year).

• Analyzed the activities of the 2 main competitors and recommended a new logistics strategy and implementation plan. The new Product Swap Strategy resulted in savings of more than $5 Mil/year.

• Conducted an optimization study in the transportation modes between plants and terminals resulting in savings of $1.5 Mil/year.

4) PRICEWATERHOUSECOOPERS - Sao Paulo, Brazil (1998 – 2001)

PricewaterhouseCoopers is one of the world's largest professional services firms and the largest of the Big Four auditing firms. PwC employs over 160,000 professionals in 151 countries and has worldwide revenues of $26 billion.

• Implemented SAP system (ERP) in several companies (Hoechst Marion Roussel, Rhodia Pharma, Aventis, Saint Gobain, Embratel, Usiminas) and areas (Finance, Asset Management, Investment Management, Controlling, Project System). Also, worked as Integration Manager in some projects.

• Worked on the joint venture process of two glass manufacturer companies analyzing the financial and cost control areas in Latin America (Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Venezuela and Colombia).

• Joined the Strategy Group redefining business processes in companies from the banking and pharmaceutical industries.

• SAP R/3 implementation at Mannesmann, a large metallurgic company in Brazil. Implemented Investment Management (IM) module. As a result, Mannesmann was able to centralize investment control and increase productivity across functions.

6) GAFISA CIVIL CONSTRUCTION - Sao Paul, Brazil (1995 – 1997)

Gafisa is one of the leading companies in the ranking of the largest construction and real residential segment in Brazil. It is a $1.7 billion company with a portfolio of several high-luxury residential condominiums, commercial buildings, flats and shopping centers.
