Purchasing Buyer, Lafayette, Indiana - 2011 to 2012
Responsibilities for all Lafayette Customer supplied products coming into the corporate
manufacturing location. Had to interface with all facets of the organization including
engineering, sales, customers, suppliers, manufacturing,transportation, material accounting.
Responsible for cleaning up existing problems, interfacing with sales, Manufacturing, Materials,
and Engineering on a daily basis, along with cleaning up past due, critical parts, past due invoices,
reordering parts, fixing and finding parts, Finding where parts went and tracking parts on carriers.

Responsibilities for all Delphi Tooling and Integrated circuit chip machine purchases for
Delphi’s fabs- Responsible for over $60 million in purchases yearly.
Responsible for leading teams consisting of 8 Staff Heads and well over 100+
Engineers for US, European, and China Operations.
• Lead current production programs; develop and launch new products-
Purchased the tooling for the new Chevrolet Camaro programs.
• Lead Purchasing Agent for all Fab Purchases, Tooling Purchases in
Engineering Worldwide.
• Develop Purchasing and Engineering Strategies for future OEM production
• Represented the customer interface for all the tooling and Fab Purchases.

• Provided support to many of the tooling Suppliers when Delphi went into
Chapter 11 and provided files for motions so that Delphi could receive there
tooling and many of the suppliers could stay in business.
• Provided Savings to the Delphi Corporation of well over $7.5 Million in
Savings Annually on a $60 million spend. Additionally renegotiated the Fab
Service Contracts that saved the corporation in 2009 of over $4 Million
Dollars on a $13 Million Spend. This directly impacted the bottom line to the
Delphi Corporation.

Responsibilities for all Delphi Tooling, Integrated circuit chip machine purchases for Delphi’s
fabs, Service contracts for Fab, all Chemical Spends for Delphi and Mold Machine
Purchases- Responsible for over $60 million in purchases yearly
Responsible for leading “pursuit to continuous” production of all program aspects
(engineering, manufacturing & supplier interface) for numerous programs for the
Automotive Industry.
• Supported and managed all of the chemical contracts for Delphi's business
including individual cylinders and plant n2 farm's
• Purchased and supported all of the Delphi Molding Machines for Delco and
Delphi Mexico.
• Guided the team to concept, develop and present alternative commercial,
engineering and manufacturing solutions for many of the purchases

amount of money spent.

purchase of test equipment at that time.
• Provided Catalog Pricing for a three-year period with established pricing for
many purchases with managements approval.

Responsibilities for all Delco /GM Sensor Purchases Worldwide- Responsible for over $140
million in purchases yearly.
Responsible for Accelerometer's provided for every air bag system in every GM vehicle
worldwide. Additionally supported all other sensor programs, which included radar devices for
back-up aid, and all other Sensor OEM Programs for all of GM Vehicles.
• Managed over $140 M of product per year resulting in over $20 M in savings
annually.
• Provided necessary Commercial, Development, and support for the New
Product Occupant Detection System, which is an annual business to
Delphi of $400M. Over the program life it has been well over a $4 Billion
Business for Delphi. This product is in every GM Vehicles today.
• Developed and help set strategy to go to a single and double axis
accelerometer chip that is used in every Air Bag controller Today.
• Supported the development of the Radar Back-up Aid Device provided in
many cars and trucks today.
Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Kokomo, IN- 1991 to 1995
Responsibilities for all Air bag Control Modules for GM MFG
• Responsible for managing 4 engineers in the mfg facility
• Responsible for many processes from wave soldering machine, smt
equipment, coating machines, and many other processes.
• Responsible for all mfg. processes mechanical and electrical testing for
module.
• Provided quality award for lowest parts per million failures for air bag
controller by GM
• Developed and Built Equipment for the Air Bag Control Module
manufacturing area.
Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Kokomo, IN – 1988 to 1990
Responsibilities for Output Assembly Machines, which produced the output for all Ignition
Modules on all GM Vehicles worldwide.
• Responsible for managing 3 High Production Machines which ran 3 shifts
and produced 13 M assemblies a year
• Responsible for retrofitting all Three Machines Controls to improve
efficiency of machines while still running high volumes.
• Increased yield of machines from 96.0 % to 98.0% yield. A substantial 2.0
% yield increase.
• Developed and Built Equipment for the Ignition Module manufacturing
area

Responsibilities for a variety of Processes which provided High and Low volume manufacturing
for the Pressure Transducer Modules on all GM Vehicles worldwide.
