structures, and drives (primarily shafts) of the new Rolls-Royce
Trent XWB Gas Turbine Engine.
. General Duties include: providing linear and radial tolerance stack
up calculations in order to determine interference fits of
assemblies within the engine, finding effective ways to reduce
costs without having an impact in the overall performance of the
engine for Rolls-Royce's Cost Excellence program, and evaluations
of thermal and pressure differentials inside the transmissions to
determine if the redesign would have significant impact on the
engines performance.
