CGSBI (Consolidated Global Sourcing BI)
CGSBI is a consolidated Global sourcing data warehouse for all the purchase
information for GE Energy. Sources are from Oracle AP modules and SAP and
BAAN. Requirements were across GEPS and also Orders2Settlement (O2S)
integration with GSDW and Supplier Score Card.
Achievements:
Decreased Load Time from 22-24 hrs. To 6-8 hrs.
Stabilized the data mart
Implemented Duplicate strategy
Improved the data quality for aggregate tables.
Implemented the recast strategy for all the fact tables
Role: As TPL for this project for requirement gathering and Data Modeling.
Suresh has been the single point of contact at onsite to run the project.

GEPS-IDW (Real Time Data Warehousing)
Design and implement a process to extract and populate the IDW tables
related to Quotes, Orders and Shipping with near real time data. Extract
near real time data (max two hour latency) from Parts ERP Integrate
incremental real-time data into the IDW tables for the critical fields
related to Quotes, Orders and Shipping
Cash Outflow DataMart
Captures actual, scheduled, open, suspended, Future Paid cash payments.
Segments cash outflows by MGMT- Hierarchy 1 to 8.Segments cash outflows by
type of expenditure e.g. Operating, Investing, Financing and by expenditure
activity type e.g. Plant & equipment, Inventory, Direct Material etc.
Provides historical comparative data. Provides cash outflow predictions
every quarter and the trends in outflows.
CMS-integration: - The project consisted of four metrics
Op Plans: This metric is related to employees; the entire employee's
information is getting from CMS replicated database and decomposed as
fiscal week records into CMS DataMart.
Cash Inflow DataMart
The DataMart has achieved the following: Captures actual, scheduled, open,
suspended, Credit Used cash payments. Segments cash inflows by MGMT-
Hierarchy 1 to 8.Segments cash inflows by type of expenditure e.g.
Operating, Investing, Financing and by expenditure activity type e.g. Plant
& equipment, Inventory, Direct Material etc. Provides historical
comparative data. Provides cash Inflow predictions every quarter and the
trends in outflows.
Cash Flows
GEPS25 Cash Flows Metric project will supply the Digital Cockpit with a
consolidated view of cash outflows and cash inflows across GEPS. Currently
GEPS has over 50 distinct non-integrated systems associated with cash
outflow and cash inflow data. These systems are at various locations
throughout the globe and severely constrain GEPS' ability to effectively
manage, understand, and analyze cash, individually and in relation to each
other. Therefore, the GEPS25
