Responsible for overall orbiter processing and horizontal operations, including vehicle turnaround from landing

through rollover flight ready, as the primary customer interface for NASA’s Space Shuttle Endeavour. Manager

of a team consisting of Operations Chiefs, Planners, System Engineering Leads, Integration Project Leads, Test

Conductors, Shop Supervisors, Facility Leads, Quality Control and Logistics.

Managed all ground processing requirements from planning, risk management and assessment, through

scheduling and closure. Provided advice and leadership for system integration issues, test planning and

test execution, while maintaining major milestones throughout the vehicle processing flow.

Integrated manifest planning to verify resources are available when needed, and provide leadership for

these resources.

Vehicle Operations Chief – 2002 to 2004

Orbiter Major Modifications (OMM) project manager of the planning, scheduling, and execution of over 100

vehicle modifications. Responsible for managing deliverables, establishing priorities, and interfacing with

design agencies, shops, operations, safety and NASA customers. Key contributor to capturing a $4.3M

company incentive award, by ensuring the vehicle was ready for power up testing, as part of NASA contractual

agreement.

• Responsible for tracking all modifications, special requirements and intrusive inspections induced by

the Orbiter Project Office and design agencies.

• Established and executed an Earned Value matrix which provided visibility to Program Managers as to

the proficiency and profitability of performing all orbiter modifications.

readying the Launch Site. Created the Master Operations Plan for overview and definition of X 33

system operations and processing.

both vehicle and ground systems. Mitigated many design issues throughout the design phase to improve

safety and operationally friendly environments.
