COMMENTS
Been with Seacor Marine for 7 years and 7 months. Spent the first 2 years as Deck Hand on Crew Boats and Mini-Supply vessels.Spent the following 5+ years as an Able-Bodied Seaman w/STCW-95 Navigation Watch credential. Assisted the Mate and Master with boat logs, chart corrections, fuel logs, safety drills, and other paperwork required by the Company. Allowed to set up the vessel on Dynamic Positioning (DP) using the Kongsberg DP-1 system on numerous occasions, in numerous weather conditions. Moored vessel to the dock and Unmoored vessel from the dock using conventional rudder system. Assisted the Mate and Master with numerous ABS and Coast Guard inspections. Only reason for leaving Seacor,
wanted to work on bigger tonnage vessels. Seacor would have limited my potential.
Been with Harvey Gulf International Marine for the past 11 months. Gained much
experience from the Captain’s staff on the Harvey Supporter (Tiger Shark Vessel).
Allowed to steer and maneuver the vessel in and out of Port using the Z-Drive system.
Have been setting the vessel up on Dynamic Positioning (DP) in the oil field using the
ConverTeam system. Familiar with using Radar equipment to navigate safe passage of
the vessel. Familiar with using Radio Comms to communicate with the oil rig and other
surrounding vessels. Aware of Harvey Gulf International Marine Safety Policy and
Procedures system. Moved to the Harvey Rain to further my training on Beckett
Rudders (conventional system). Allowed to steer and maneuver the vessel in and out of
Port and also doing DP procedures in the oil field for field operations.
