2007 – Present, The Greater Monroe Kennel Club
I held the position of club secretary for 2 terms and Vice President for an additional
2 terms. I held the position of Dog Show Chairman for 2 years resulting in a steady
increase in show entries each year. I am also the Web Master and Newsletter Editor
for the club.
2000-2009, Metrolina Medical Research, (Multi-Specialty Research Center)
Research Coordinator - Experience with clinical trials in: diabetes, hypertension,
dyslipidemia overactive bladder, weight loss, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s
disease, diabetic neuropathy, osteoporosis, rheumatology, erectile dysfunction,
upper respiratory infection, vaccine, gastroesophogeal reflux disease, irritable
bowel syndrome, constipation, hormone replacement and ophthalmology trials. I go
into the offices of area specialist to conduct the research visits. I am usually assigned
5 to 7 trials at a time. My duties include recruiting, placing newspaper, radio and
TV ads, patients visits, completion of electronic and paper case report forms,
collecting and processing of labs, handling correspondences with sponsor and
institutional review board.

scheduling of surgeries and office appointments. Insurance verification. Assist with

Assist with minor surgical procedures, sterilization procedures purchasing,

1985-1987 Medical Office Assistant, Westside Medical Clinic (General Practice)
Clerical duties including appointment scheduling, billing, switchboard, purchasing,
filing, patient education. Clinical duties including working up patients, laboratory
testing, assisting with pre-employment physicals, workman’s compensation cases
and minor surgery.
1982-1985 Clinical Assistant, H&M Medical Clinic (Internal Medicine)
Assisted with routine physical examinations including flexible sigmoidoscopy, pelvic
exams, ECG’s, pulmonary function testing, visual acuity and tonometries. Then
promoted to laboratory assistant rotating through three clinical locations
performing phlebotomy, various laboratory testing such as chemistries, hematology,
urinalysis, implementing weekly quality control test on all equipment.

Provided support to the front office including switchboard, cash ier, scheduling of
appointments, recording of births, filing and pulling charts, medication refills, and
occasional backup of clinical areas for seven physicians.
