Curriculum Vitae
Below is my resume. As you can see, I have considerable experience, over 40 years, in intricate business combinations; acting as either the Chief Executive Officer or the Chief Financial Officer of large corporations.
Over this career span, I was instrumental in building several profitable companies, both through internal and or external growth; my forte being in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), hostile “Take-Overs” and turnaround situations.
I was involved with thirty or more successful M&A situations, domestic and international, which included raising substantial amounts of financing (over $500 million) for them to move forward. The various financings included raising funds for both general corporate purposes and special project financing. The types of financings involved debt, preferred and common equity both conventional and creative; interrelating with Tier 1 investment banking firms such as Salomon Bros., Smith Barney, Prudential, Merrill Lynch, A.J. Edwards, etc.
As you know to be successful in building and expanding companies requires an in-depth understanding of facilities and financial planning, risk management, strategic planning and the correlation of the same as it relates to the accounting, and financial needs of the entities involved. In the demands of the real-world there is no absolute correct solution to a problem but rather several viable alternatives. As the Chief Executive Officer of an international telecommunications company I had to deal with that every day; in addition to administrating and implementing the alternatives selected.
On the administration side one must fully understand ‘span of control’ and the delegation of authority with the proper deadlines and incentives involved, including but not limited to the human relationships of the parties concerned. Communication skills are paramount in conveying, and or reporting upon, the Mission Statement to superiors, peers and subordinates
I have given business lectures in the past, taught in the academic environment, addressed large audiences, and have testified before both State and Federal Authorities on numerous occasions, because of my previous positions. I have found that current text books are totally inadequate when it comes to covering these real world situations. In addition, one must be able to deal in the abstract and make decisions as indicated by my extensive background in business. I know that I am fully qualified for the aforementioned position and could assist the Company in carrying out its mission to improve the effectiveness of its financial and business operations.
In addition to the aforementioned I have had five books published and am currently working on my sixth book (Economics and Finance). I look forward to meeting with you and let you judge the quality of the individual.
