PHLEBOTOMY /CLINICAL LABORATORY SCIENCE: Conducted over 10,000 chemical

analyses of body fluids to include blood and urine, per month. Executed

hematological tests including blood chemistry tests such as the Basic

Metabolic Panel (BMP), red and white blood cell counts, sickle cell tests,

hemoglobin estimations, fragility tests, coagulation time and clot

retraction time. Identified abnormal tests results, referred laboratory

LABORATORY QUALITY CONTROL / ASSURANCE: Extracted physician orders from

hospital database such as the Composite Health Care System (CHCS).

Confirmed physician orders, identify patients by utilizing proper

identification cards, verified patient demographics prior to performing

ordered test. Provided a safe and comfortable experience for patients.

Prepared patients for laboratory procedures and explained the specimen

extraction process. Performed ordered laboratory test, labeled specimen

Reported any errors discovered while logging sample and requested new
