July 2012 Worked as a volunteer with the US Forest Service, Mark Twain National Forest,
Eleven Point Ranger District (Doniphan, Missouri) in the recreation program.
● Operations and maintenance of developed and dispersed recreation sites, which
included campgrounds, picnic sites, an historic cabin and river accesses.
● Numerous rehabilitation/upgrade projects to improve the quality of the recreation
experience. This included construction and installation of new accessible fire rings,
lantern posts, picnic tables and grills.
Also constructed new bulletin boards and installed new informational signing.
● Bat cave project, in collaboration with Bat Conservation International, Cave
Research Foundation, and AmeriCorps: including construction and installation of two
heavy metal gates to prevent human’s disturbing for natural grey bats’ habitat.
June 2011 Worked 12 weeks at the US Forest Service, Hiawatha National Forest, Munising
Ranger District (Munising, Michigan) as a volunteer, doing an internship associated
with Jack pine silviculture and management.
● Collected different measurements and information on seedlings by doing plot
surveys in Jack pine stands.
● Utilized sampling methods in Jack pine stands on natural and artificial regenerations
to study and evaluate the quality and the level of regeneration.
● Collected different trees’ measurements and grounds’ information by doing plots in
Jack pine stands for the presence of Kirtland Warbler’s.
● Analyzed and compared the studies of the Jack pine silviculture and the presence (or
absence) of the Kirtland Warbler.
Worked 14 weeks at “Les Fromageries Occitanes” cheese factory in the packaging

● Cut, packed and weighed different kinds of local cheeses before shipping to various
customers.

aging.
