1. Minor Project : DIGITAL IMAGE PRCOCESSING USING

HISTOGRAM EQUALISATION TECHNIQUES

Duration: July 2011 – December 2011

Description: In this project we have emphasised mainly on two histogram

equalisation techniques to improve the quality of the image. Global Histogram

Equalization uses the histogram information of the entire input image for its

transformation function. Local Histogram Equalization, for every pixel, based

on the neighbourhood value the histogram equalization is done.

2. Major Project : ELECTRONIC CARD LOCK SYSTEM

Duration: January 2012 - May 2012

Description: In this project we used IR sensors to activate an appliance on

insertion of a card. The IR sensors are placed randomly in the box. Whenever a

particular card is inserted the corresponding appliance gets operated. Here

depending upon the IR sensors which gets activated the corresponding

appliance operates. Key cards can be used as an alternative to mechanical keys.

The arrangement used ensures that only the selected appliance is switched on

and prevents false operation of the system. If an attempt is made to insert the

card wrongly, it will not go completely inside the mechanism and the system

will not be enabled.
