MINI PROJECT:

Project title: study of 220kv in Visakhapatnam steel plant.

Team size: 5

Project duration: 2 weeks

Project description: study of all section's of power distribution in

Visakhapatnam steel plant and an over view of all the equipment used in

substations.

MAJOR PROJECT:

Project title: PSS and STATCOM controller design for damping power system

oscillations using PID controller.

Project description: in this project, by using PSS we stabilize the

dampings at generating stations. As it is found to provide very good

damping characteristics over wide range of operations .effective damping,

fast dynamic response, and high accuracy for various disturbance conditions

demonstrate the robust-ness of PSS controller. Good dynamic properties of

the system have been confirmed by using MATLAB simulink computer simulation

methods.

Role played: took part in designing circuit using mat lab and documentation

of project.
