Resume:

Paul Richardson Quality Professional

As a Quality Professional, it is my responsibility to understand and translate the customer’s requirements into

the highest quality levels and efficiently implement that directive. The quality initiative must be the Voice of the

Customer. I am the liaison between the customer and production.

My skill set consists of efficient management of quality metrics and performance tools that produce the desired

results demanded by the customer. My authority has included monitoring and mentoring all floor quality

personnel, managing quality system implementation, customer and supplier interfacing regarding corrective

action and an active involvement in the APQP process for product launching.

As part of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), my responsibilities require I help define the manufacturing

process through control plans and process FMEAs. The goal of control plans and FMEAs are to identify, control

or eliminate potential non-conformances and scrap, thus driving down defect levels. In planning such controls,

cost savings are realized through preventive and appraisal initiatives.

As part of a cross functional team, I provide input for the planning, design and reliability of product by assuring

equipment and gages for process layout, product verification testing, gage validation (Gage R&R), inspection

criteria and internal audits that ensure efficient production setups.

I am proficient in the use of Quality tools for problem solving. Those tools include but not limited to Root Cause

Analysis, 5-Why, 8D, Factor Tree Analysis, Fishbone diagramming, etc.,

Statistical Process Control (SPC) is used to determine process capability, consistency and continuous

improvement. By using such metrics, I targeted process deficiencies and drove non-conformances down or

eliminated them. An example of such achievement was driving down the overall product PPM for assemblies

supplied to GM (Faurecia). The beginning PPM was over 40000 as compared to the GM target of 29. After six

months of continuous improvement, the PPM was driven down to 5 remained at 5 or below during my tenure.

In cases of non-conformances, problems were quickly identified and contained; short term corrective action was

implemented, thorough root cause analysis was used to identify problem; and effective corrective action would

then be implemented and monitored to ensure the problem would not recur.

I was a strong contributor to the development and validation of floor layouts and procedures for a startup

computer assembly company (Q-Edge), which produced 6000 units per day with a reject rate of less than 0.01%.

I have a proven track record that can be an asset to any company looking for a skilled quality advocate. I

understand the magnitude and complexity required in quick, knowledgeable and effective decision making that is

suitable for any production environment.

I am ably suited to manage deadlines and details, proficient in managing multiple tasks and personnel.

I would like the opportunity to discuss my skill sets and how they will contribute to your organization.

My compensation is open for negotiation. Please contact me at your earliest convenience.

Sincerely,

Paul C. Richardson
