Supervisor responsible for overseeing preload operations for a UPS facility. Tasked with ensuring the safe and efficient execution of all duties.

* Review previous day`s reports (time and labor, pieces per hour, stops per on-road hour, misroutes, etc.) to determine performance weaknesses/failures and implement process improvements.

* Uncover time card errors by examining time and labor reports.

* Check trailer forecasting system to estimate expected shipment volume and schedule proper staffing levels in accordance with the Master Operating Plan. Meet with employees to inform them of daily workflow requirements. Rotate employees to other departments as needed.

* Complete preload operations performance report.

* Perform method evaluations on loaders once a month to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency

* Determine employee training needs and create continuous development plans. Provide ongoing feedback and support. Conduct performance evaluations in a consistent, fair, and objective manner.

* Resolve individual and group performance issues in accordance with UPS policies and procedures to motivate and foster teamwork. Solicit input from team members to improve the work environment.

* Ensure that health, safety, and compliance standards and plans are adhered to and met. Utilize individual and group conversations, the active support of safety committees, and lead by example to raise health, safety, and compliance awareness.
