Recruited to oversee operations and client relationships and provide oversight and insight for expansion projects in an operation center that was originally conceived of as a production facility for Playboy Entertainment Group.
Successfully brought major expansion projects to completion on time and within budget, and recruited and supervised a staff that ultimately grew to more than 60 employees, mostly engineers and operators. Handled all permitting for expansions with the City of Los Angeles. Designed and managed the facilitys operating budget of approximately $1 million. Developed and sold business plans that enabled successfully marketing of facility to a wide variety of clients in domestic and international markets. Modeled business cases for potential prospects, including ROI, IRR, and NPV. Managed multiple production budgets ranging from a few thousand dollars to multiple millions of dollars. In addition:
Sold the original owner on the concept of spinning Andrita off as its own business, to fully utilize the production capacity; built other business to the point that its sale to BFI became desirable.
Secured a multi-year agreement with ABC valued at more than $10 million.
Negotiated multiple 5-year contracts, valued at more than $20 million, for the origination of such programming as Hallmark HD, Here TV, Tai Seng (one of the largest distributors of Asian content) three U.S channels on Direct TV in Mandarin, Cantonese, and Vietnamese, Africa Channel, and Wine Network.
Negotiated fiber carriage contracts for European distribution for Wine TV and several Playboy networks, securing contracts that provided the respective companies with annual operations valued at more than $500,000.
Negotiated deals to export media to international markets without having to go through customs, producing significant savings on all international operations.
Managed the design, launch, and continuing operations of such video-on-demand channels as MGM HD, MGM Impact, SiTV, and Full Moon Features.
Led the development of an encoding and transcoding server farm capable of handling more than 800 digital distribution files monthly and generating close to $2 million in additional revenues immediately, as well as growth revenue opportunities with new VOD platforms and over-the-top content providers.
