Duties
Prepared, updated, and supervised updates of drawings and layouts of parts, assemblies, and whole goods for use in two-stroke and four-stroke engine hand-held lawn & garden products using NX6.
Developed and supervised testing procedures for analysis of parts, assemblies, and whole goods and analyzed test results, including emissions testing and fuel systems improvements using Office suite, MathCAD and existing testing standards (UL, ASTM, SAE, ISO, DIN, etc.)
Prepared, reviewed, and updated bills of material, through the use of TeamCenter Client, SAP, and Oracle BOM database systems.
Qualified existing (injection- and blow-molded) plastics, (sintered and stamped) metals, and extruded and compression-molded thermoplastic elastomer materials for improved function of specific and multiple-component product applications, including review and interpretation of 3rd-party lab test results.
Reviewed project specifications and requirements for qualification of components, assemblies, and finished goods to assure design and fabrication of product conform to the companys ISO manufacturing, regulatory, safety, and quality standards, using Office suite and also using Minitab.

Accomplishments
Implemented fuel systems upgrades into production on to comply with 2012 EPA and CARB evaporative emissions regulation requirements for less-than-66cc gasoline-powered lawn & garden products, both new and existing applications for 2012 Model Year (YTD).
Updated Company testing procedures for testing fuel systems materials to ensure Ethanol-resistance higher than 10% ethanol content fuels, and trained newer engineers and technical staff on those procedures and test plans.
*Developed 12 DFMEAs for critical engine/application components for 2-cycle Engines (with focus on trimmer applications).
In both Team environment and individual tasks, achieved $11.6 million in Cost improvements since taking this position and $14.9 million in Product improvements.
Implemented commodity cost tracking program to anticipate market changes in material costs.
Created two test time calculation tools for completing common lab work tests on time, even with multiple priority changes occurring during with testing resources, consistently accurate to within one weeks time.
