I am bringing this piece of history forward in this resume (which is now to long) to point out the business experience that I believe I bring with me to an organization. I supervised 15 lumber managers throughout the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Help transform a Drywall and Acoustical Ceiling Distributor into a major Lumber distributor in the tri-state area. I was responsible for inventory control, contracts with West Coast suppliers and creating a distribution center for the companies materials. The lumber arm of the company entered into contracts with city and state agencies and contractual obligations where met with in the deadlines. In 1988 a team was designed to take the company public our IPO was in the later stages of 1988. I was part of the team that did presentations for investors and had to be very familiar with the for profit language required in accomplishing this goal. I was responsible for profit and loss reports and worked closely with the companies CFO, Gary Nacht. After Ric Strobers death three days after we took the company public, I remained with the firm for a approximately one year. I then was recruited to help reorganize Diamond Lumber in the North East. I then was offered a one year contract to work for North Pacific Lumber company in Portland Oregon. The business skill that I was taught by each of my mentor's in these companies has been helpful in the Human Services area. It has helped in the way I think about programing and daily operations.
