1. Morgan Stanley - Legal and Compliance Division(LCD) Portal

Project Description: This is an internal firmwide application catering

to the access to Legal and compliance related queries and information

for the Morgan Stanley employees across the globe. The project

involved decommissioning an existing static content portal running on

java with a one designed in dot net having dynamic content fuelled by

Sitefinity enabling a high variance of edition at the administrator

level. The project involved validation of migration of existing

contents, creation, edition and management of different content types,

Auto suggest search, Content Notification emails at different

periodicity including Daily and weekly rake job runs.

The Job description involved an end to end responsibility for test

estimation planning to test case development and execution followed

with a regression run. In this project the conventional database model

was replaced with the latest MarkLogic No SQL database for storing the

files and indexing the contents for faster retrievals.

2. Morgan Stanley - Autonomy's IDOL Search Engine Optimization.

Project Description: The project involved integration of a

COTS(Commercially off the shelf) SEARCH product from Autonomy's stable

named IDOL to an existing application by replacing the standard

conventional SQL database to enrich the search capabilities by

reducing the search times by better and faster indexing and embracing

other unique relevancy algorithms.

The project involved decommissioning of VERITY search engine replacing

it with IDOL search engine for multiple applications. It covered

testing of standard Search relevancy rules, sorting and other guided

navigation features.

3. Morgan Stanley - REMI (Regulatory Exam Management Interface)

Project Description: This was a maintenance project catering to

changing business requirements needing testing services to adhere to

the standard quality specifications. The project encapsulated the

business of users having to provide frequent examinations for the

changing trading business trends as per the latest SEC guidelines.

Project Description: This is an internal firmwide application to

fulfill the internal learning and training needs of the Morgan Stanley

employees across the globe. Job description involved an end to end

responsibility for test estimation planning to test case development

and execution followed with a regression run. The business also

required catering to timely requests on custom generated BI(Business

Intelligence) report testing. The quarterly build test cycle usually

ends with a pre-determined performance test cycle to measure the

applications response times to specific page loads.

Project Description: Purple Trail offers free online invitation

management portal with a comprehensive set of features like a design

center modeled around adobe flex framework, Address book and online

store. It is being built using the latest web 2.0 technologies for the

web and mobile devices. Automation is carried out using an open source

tool called Sahi.

7. Emergency 911 Text Gateway.

Project Description: Emergency Text 2- 911 messaging is an SMS-to-SIP

gateway to support sending of text messages to 9-1-1 Operators. The

gateway is built as a national system to route calls to any Public

Service Answering Point (PSAP), from a mobile as an sms.

Responsibilities:

. Understanding and analyzing the project requirements and the

business logic in detail.

. Test sending of mock sms through a text based browser, Lynx.

. Receiving of SMS messages through a mock SMPP client using

putty.

. Sending and receiving of multiple sms from multiple mobile

numbers through putty client.

. State transition changes and status checks tested through a UNIX

client.

. Extensive use of VIM editor for testing system status alarms.

8. Viewpoint Toolbar testing.

Roles: Test Planner and Tester.

Project Description: Viewpoint Toolbar testing. - The toolbar consists

of different modules like Search, Bookmarks, Photos and pop-ups. The

project consisted of overall functional testing, stress / load testing

of the bookmarks and photos module. The testing included feature

testing for Toolbar and Photo view. There was extensive testing of

html pages. These pages are for upload of photos from photo view to

EZprints where a user can upload albums as well as order prints.

Testing was done on workflow charts of how the order process should

work.

Responsibilities:

. Involve in the Peer review and test the code logics, loop

testing, branch and path testing.

. Work closely with the testing team and write the test cases for

the different modules of the project.

. Involve in Integration testing and UAT.

9. Viewpoint Library of Assets.

Project Description: The purpose of the Viewpoint Library of Assets

(VLA) is to enable the sales force with a centralized location where

they can easily search and download demos for client presentations and

can be accessed over the internet. The project specifications detail

the feature set to be tested.

and gifts. The project involved functional testing,

stress / load testing, GUI and web functionality.

the links between the pages, external links, email

links and demos are functional. Also tested the

content displays. This project consisted of more

than 200 Ads in different formats like In-page Ads,

Banner Ads, Expandable, Transitional, Custom,

Curtain call etc.
