Summer Science Enrichment Program
Initiated the Summer Science Enrichment Program for The I Have A Friend Youth Center serving under-priviledged in Middletown, CT.
Fundraised and organized a free science based field trip for the Youth Center to the Roger William s Zoo in Providence, RI during the summer of 2006.
Fundraised and organized a free science based field trip to the Mystic Aquarium in Mystic, CT as well as hosting a series of fun science workshops at the Youth Center.
June 2009 Smile Train: House of Charity Lahore, Pakistan
The House of Charity is umbrella organization under the non-profit organization Smile Train. The House of Charity provides free surgeries for burn victims and children with cleft lips, cleft palates, and other congenital deformities in developing nations.
In June of 2009, I participated in a 2-week, individualized volunteer internship in Lahore, Pakistan in which I was in responsible for photographic documentation of the mission, working and playing with pediatric patients, and assisting surgeons in the operating room.
August 2009 Smile Train: House of Charity Karachi, Pakistan
In August 2009 I traveled on a second medical mission to Karachi, Pakistan with the House of Charity.
The primary purpose of this mission was reconstructive surgery for patients with severe post-burn deformities at Burns Civil Hospital. An addition aspect of this mission was training the local hospital staff to improve patient treatment and care after the mission returned to America
